sad but true... my friend that i used to dj with said to me the other day "everybody else does it, so why shouldn't we?" he was referring to auto-beat matching and essentially 'just hitting play'... it made me sad. the fun has been taken out of dj'ing in this generation.

Like driving manual or automatic, I like manual but plenty like driving automatic.

^ yeah that's what my friend said as well... he loves to fuck with effects and loops and is way more dynamic with the auto-beat matchign so to each their own.... as you said, personal preference.
