Nothing angers and saddens me more than the bombing of innocents and children, wherever in the world it happens.

Re: Boston Marathon Explosion
about the worst thing that can happen is the dumbfucks at 4chan start a lynch mob with their uninformed dumbassery. it is quaint all of the circles are pointing to foreign looking people.
submit your data to the fbi but don't think you have any clue on how to look for the correct signs in pictures of who did this.

to be fair there is one circling that girls arse ;)
and don't forget Le Reddit army too!
Re: Boston Marathon Explosion
^That was actually pretty funny. Yeah I don't goto 4chan but reddit was doing this yesterday too. They did put themselves in check thankfully and the top comment from a post doing this said that it was A Bad Idea and they stopped their lynch mob and took down their pics with any circles on them. So thankfully that hivemind there at least are doing something right. :)
Re: Boston Marathon Explosion
A chick I know who lives nearby me was running in this and was 2 blocks away from the explosion when I talked to her on Monday. Crazy.
Honestly these bombs were pretty small, I bet this will be some domestic white dude who is pissed off at the gov't about their taxes or some crap and decided to do this on his own....We will see.
Re: Boston Marathon Explosion
my old boss finished too, was just entering hotel when it happened.
Re: Boston Marathon Explosion
Reso Its possible there are knowledgeable ppl on 4chan and reddit.. Well maybe not reddit, but anyway I'm pretty sure the people with those backpacks who were circled, at least 1 or 2 of them are legit suspects. Whether or not it was 4chan who discovered them I haven't the slightest.

Saudi National who was interviewed after the blast is now being deported on grounds of National Security.

I'm confused. What are they deporting him for?
Now the Saudi embassy in Washington has said Alharbi was no longer under detention and is not a suspect in the bomb blasts.
Nail Al-Jubeir, a spokesman for the Saudi mission in Washington, stated that U.S. authorities told the embassy “no Saudi national was a suspect in the Boston Marathon attack and that the Saudi national in question was a witness, not a suspect.”
I'm not seeing anything official about that as of today...?

All said, these amateur efforts are kinda fascinating. I've never seen such a case of amateur/citizen reporting at this scale before, could be a first.
Re: Boston Marathon Explosion
Updated 5:53 PM ETThe FBI on Thursday released surveillance video showing two suspects in the Boston Marathon bombing and is asking for the public's help in identifying them.FBI Agent Richard DesLauriers said the photos came from surveillance cameras near the explosion sites. He said one the suspects is believed to have planted the devices near the finish line of the race. He said both suspects are considered armed and extremely dangerous. "Do not take any action on your own," he warned. The photos of the suspects can be seen online on fbi.gov. Any tips regarding the suspects can be called into the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI.Investigators had been focusing on a man wearing a white baseball cap seen dropping off a bag, and then walking away from the site of the second of two deadly explosions. CBS News correspondent Bob Orr reported that investigators were able to retrace his steps and discovered video of the man with another man carrying a backpack.Boston marathon bombing suspects video grab The surveillance footage was released three days after the attack that left three people dead, wounded more than 170, and cast a dark shadow over one of this city's most joyous traditions.Orr reported that after releasing the video, the FBI is hoping for tips that will identify the suspects. Investigators are using facial recognition software; scouring criminal databases; and trying to to find a match. They have some potential names for these suspects but they are currently unable to match. As for whether this was an act of either foreign or domestic terrorism, Orr posed that question to a senior federal official, who said right now they think they are leaning-- and he emphasizes they don't have a definite-- that they are leaning more towards a domestic attack.CBS News correspondent John Miller explained why these two people are believed by the FBI to be possible suspects. "Number one, the video they're showing us isn't all the video they have nor does it show all the things that they have seen. One of the things they've seen is suspect number two is observed with the backpack placing it at a location where the bomb then goes off, so that's very significant. So why aren't we seeing that?"What they've done is they spent the last couple of days choosing the photos that they felt gave them the best chance of somebody getting facial recognition and calling them after they identified the first suspect, that they see his contact with the second suspect, and they decided to go out with both of them."
