I was wondering what the thought was behind your alias. Mine is "Kiteless" because at the time when I signed up "Juanita Kiteless" is the name of an Underworld tune I was listening to a lot.

If yours is a nickname then it would good if you could share the reason why you got it.
i wanted [you] but it was taken...

A buddy and I were trying to register for some site on the Internet 4 years ago, but we tried 5 different progressively crazier usernames, just to find that each was in use. Finally just picked two random words from the top of my head, and have used picklemonkey for most everything since then. :not me:

Re: The reason behind the alias

I liked the sound of the word and what it meant.

kinetic

adj 1: relating to the motion of material bodies and the forces associated therewith; "kinetic energy" 2: characterized by motion; "modern dance has been called kinetic pantomime" 3: supplying motive force; "the complex civilization of which Rome was the kinetic center"

Besides, at the time I chose it, I as messing with a music program called Kinetic...not too good actually.

And Sasha put out records through the Kinetic Records Label, amongst other great artists (Trendroid, Starecase...)

Re: The reason behind the alias

This is really bad - I'm ashamed to admit it  When my second baby girl was just that - a baby - we were having a really bad time with her. I found this site off another forum and one night at about 2.15 after she had finaly stopped screaming for a while I thought I'd take the break to join MS. It asked me for a user name and into my head came the word Nasty, to which I added the first two letters of her name. So my tag was NastyEm. I started to feel a bit guilty about this in time, so when the site went down a while ago and I had to reregister I took the Em off and put my initial on instead. Now I'm feeling better and, in the words of the Master himself, Melle Mel - I'm Nasty!

Re: The reason behind the alias

My Ghanaian name.

Yawodagbe = thursday, the day on which I was born. Male derived name is Yao or Yawo. I got Yao.

It's my real second name in practice...I respond to it even better than my own name :D And In Ghana ppl don't even bother to remeber my real name, as soon as I tell them I'm also Yao it's the only name by which they'll call me.
