I still own all of my original NES, SNES, and PlayStation 1... just need to get the new cables cause TV's dont use coaxial anymore lol

but yea.. Final Fantasy 7, best game ever imo... Contra, Zelda for SNES, Super High Impact (basically the original NFL Blitz) and probably a lot more that I cant think of..

video/computer games nowadays are boring compared to the classics i think.

Sega mega drive (genesis): nba jam, mortal kombat 1, 2 & 3

blood code: abacabb tattooed into my memory, still tap 3 of my fingers to that code on a daily basis

↓↑←←a→↓ was the cheat options screen I think.

street fighter 2

*nba jam on snes you could do proper Dikembe Mutambe and David Robinson style rejections...genesis you could only block like Craig Ehlo or John Stockton aka 1950's white guy style.

double dragon 1 & 2 (arcade) Nintendo had sone weird version of double dragon 2 and or 3

Shinobi (arcade) sensible soccer all versions up to and including 96/97 (amiga and pc)

street gangs (mega drive/ genesis)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (arcade and arcade versions for consoles)

TMNT had some pretty rubbish single player version on NES...it was a combo of driving around a map from sky view then going into buildings and fighting....still played it heaps...

Not as old as the games you guys listed, but Final Fantasy 7. It's was my favorite rpg but I've never had the chance to go back to it.

For me it has to be THPS 2. This game inspired me in so many ways:

The weekends were the best thanks to this game, and to think I had loaded it on the spare computer only a few years back, now I wish i could only fix that computer.

baseball stars was awesome because you could save your team for future games.

I was a big fan of mario 2... mario 3 was fun as well though. Remember the movie "the wizard?" It was on tv recently, brought back a ton of memories.

The Legend of Kage - crazy ninja side scroller that I played only a handful of times in the arcade, but never forgot.

Carmaggeddon - this was a favorite of ours - playing on a LAN and going head to head with the various boards. I really hope they get around to putting together a reboot on this.

Aliens vs. Predator for the PC - we had amazing times playing in LAN environments and going head to head. AvP 2 wasn't bad, but started to feel a bit overpowered.

Duke Nukem 3D for the PC - another LAN played game that would rock when we were playing against the right peeps.

Samurai Shodown - got the entire anthology downstairs on a PS2 disc - I think I'll give this a spin later on tonight.

Jet Set Willy on the Spectrum. Adventure on Atari VCS Looping, Pitfall II, Zaxxon on CBS R-Type on PC Engine Pulstar, KOF, Last Blade on the Neo Geo

Then got into raves and getting hammered when the NES and Master System were around.

Then Mega Drive or Genesis as you lit call it came with some classics, but the SNES was THE system. Mario World Pilot Wings SFII Zelda: link to the past Secret of Mana Contra III Mario Kart FFIII Castlevania IV

PS One was good with Ridge Racer as was PS2, Dreamcast and the N64, but for me that era of the SNES was perfection.

Nothing as magic as that era imho, ICO in the PS2 came close, as did Zelda on the N64, but the SNES nailed it.
