i feel like i know absolutely everything i need to know about digger or sasha. i was wondering if anybody latlely has heard lawler or tall paul and if i should go and see them. they are on my hit list to see next!!

I would prefer Steve Lawler, being I'm a fan of his. I don't necessarily know what Tall Paul tends to play...but if you want to hear dark, tribal, proggy house, then Steve is your man. I always have a good time out when Steve is in town. Just my two cents. :D

lawler > TP

#207363Post 4 of 57

Lawler any day of the week! and twice on Sundays

Even though I've heard some say that he hasn't been that great lately he still rocks imo.

#207375Post 5 of 57

Tall Paul does not deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as Lawler. Tall Paul = Cheesy twat, Lawler all the way baby :Bingo:

#207376Post 6 of 57

Tall Paul Rocks it

but you have to like techno cuz it gets real gritty at times (at least the sets/comps I've heard)

Love the Moonshine Release by him....

And his set with AvB.

Not familiar enough with Lawler so I won't choose one over the other.

#207379Post 7 of 57

tall paul plays techno these days?

throughout his career he always seems to have been playing some kind of banging cheese or another. good mixing, shame about the tunes.

#207382Post 8 of 57

I would go with lawler personally. I like the dark tribal he play's. getting down and dirty

#207384Post 9 of 57

When I saw Tall Paul he rocked the house. He's not cheese he's really fun.

#207386Post 10 of 57

Lawler has never let me down, anytime you get an opportunity to go see him don't pass it up. Guaranteed to be mind numbingly good fun.

Well, as it was last defined to me.

But these genres change by the hour so who knows what is what anymore...

I call it music for lack of a better term...

I like music... Yep, that covers it

I completely agree!!! I would drive almost anywhere to see Lawler! Though I don't mind Tall Paul and his latest Live cd isn't all that bad, Lawler's more my style. What I like about Tall Paul is that he mixes it up a bit between trance, prog, and techno...it's never really boring. But Lawler just does it for me and I :LoveYou: him!! And as my sig says, I love it dark and dirty...the way Lawler always throws it down!

I've only heard lawlers dark drums which was good his lights out wasn't that bad. I've yet to find a live set from him. If I get sorted out with a live set I can be more informed.

yeah, me too. the first time i heard from him again was when his & Phil K's mix where posted here on ms. ...which wasn't that bad though, but i don't see why anyone want to compare him to lawler.

#207785Post 31 of 57

it appears as though this poll should have NEVAR been introduced.

who's tall paul again?

yeah, i think lawler really banged this one!!

#207817Post 33 of 57

Man go see Lawler, he's fuckin brilliant. Forget about TP, he plays cheese. never really heard him, but im sure he used to do Ministry of Sound cds with Judge Jules. Lawler plays filthy sexy house.

#207845Post 34 of 57

Without a doubt Lawler. Tall Paul is great if you want to hear the newest, biggest tracks, but Lawler is usually an experience.

#207901Post 35 of 57
I love it dark and dirty...the way Lawler always throws it down!
