Re: The "4" is here
Pretty darn fly. If I get rid of my wife, kid, and house, I may be able to buy one.
Re: The "4" is here
Nice ... just need to come into a few $$$s
Re: The "4" is here
excellent, BMWs are my favourite cars. I've got F30 328i and E60 535d, pretty damn quick and comfortable limos.
Re: The "4" is here
i'd pick an A5 coupe over the 4 any day of the week!

Re: The "4" is here

Re: The "4" is here
I love the BMW cars
and then Audi, and then, could be Mercedes.
Re: The "4" is here
Audi's don't drive to precision as BMW's though they are engaging enough for women's everyday driving.
Re: The "4" is here
I dont know, I never had one of those.
Re: The "4" is here
over-engineered, too costly to fuel (premium - no thanks), tires cost $400/tire. Too much of a depreciating asset at this stage in life, but in the future sure why not . Regardless, great looking car, sure it's fun to drive, until something breaks.

I keep hearing this over and over again and somehow never came to agreement with it. It all depends on what purpose you have in mind when you buy a car. If you buy it as an investment, which is crazy unto itself, you will never be happy with it. Buy it for it is worth and you'll enjoy it more. Not everything you buy in life is for its intrinsic value.
That being said, I do agree about your comment on reliability. I had a 325 before and like clockwork, things were breaking down on it. I once read on a bmw forum, it's only a matter of time until the electrical gremlins start popping out of the woodwork.
That's one of the reasons if I do go sporty, the only German car I would go for is the Porsche. Otherwise, I have my eyes set either on the 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser or this...

Re: The "4" is here
^^^ Now we're talking...that Lexus is definitely going on my want list.
Re: The "4" is here
Those are all money pits...
IMHO Kamal, get a hybrid, maybe a Chevy Volt or Hybrid Avalon... something that get's 40mpg+. Spend some extra $$ on the interior, get an amazing stereo system.
I used to think those luxury cars were the way to go too... my friends have those cars and after time passes they are no longer happy with them. Saving money, not spending it on expensive gasoline, that's happiness
If you have a ton of extra money then go for it. My grandparents just sold their S class mercedes, I think it's a 2010 to my Aunt. I have no idea what she was thinking, maintaining those cars is so expensive.

That's why I said, go Japanese, maintain your car with periodic oil changes and services, find a cheap local garage that you can trust and you'd be able to do at 1/4th the price what the Mercedez dealers do. You can enjoy these cars, just plan ahead in how you're going to do it ;)
