I'm thinking of picking this up at lunchtime today,after all the good reviews etc.

However, is it anything like digweed's fabric comp i.e. the sound etc - I was not too keen on that at all,a real let down.I dont wanna buy it if its similar to that.

And does it sound like nocturnal frequencies 2 CD1 in any way-again I hated that cd

Greg, If you were to compare it to anything I would say it compare to Danny's GU: 24:7 cd2. Maybe a litte more jazzed up but still the same sound. It is a good comp. Worth checking out.

i think there are several songs that sound like john's fabric cd, but not too much. it took me listening to danny's GU cds a couple times before i really started getting into it. cd 1 is mellow and cd 2 is a little more like john's fabric cd, but in all i don't think the two releases are that similar.

I agree that the 24/7 night disc would probably be the closest comparison, but this comp has a sound all its own...

the 2nd disc reminds me of the 24/7 second disc. the first disc is just excellent ass-shakin' house music. buy it, you will not be disappointed. 8)

It's just proper House Music and can't be compared to Digweed's Fabric 20. I listened several time to both CD's and I wouldn't single out one particular track that is superior to the others but the programming and flow of these CD's is amazing.

i prefer the 1st disc, which is strange because the 2nd is techier imo, and i am big on the tech.

Both disc are good. It is to hard to single out which disc is better then other one.

i liked 2 a lot more first time around. now i don't think it lays a finger on disc 1. strange how listening to it several times will sway your opinion. probably just depends on the mood you're in.

Picked this up right before seeing Fanciulli and Howells at Avalon this past weekend, I've only had time to listen to the 1st cd and I gotta say it's nothing like Digweed's Fabric, it's pretty mellow and low key. But I LOVE the flow, awesomeness to put it simply first three tracks and the last three tracks.... near perfect programming in my opinion, gotta get around to listening to the 2nd one...

I went and bought it yesterday lunchtime.

I'm glad I did.The only reservations I had were that I really disliked 24:7 and wasnt too keen on the Fabric disc, so was in two minds.However It's a cracking disc (what I've heard of it).CD1 is shading it for me, but that may change as I listen to it more and more.Track 2,3,4 and 5 on disc 1 are awesome,especially track 5.

I also bought Seaman/Chable comp at the weekend, which I'm also digging,so quite a good period for music at the moment!
