I'm shocked that there is hardly any mention of Steve on the anniversary of his passing, shame, I guess too many people here are too busy talking shit about each other.. oh well.. if any one is interested, email me and I will send you the links to an archive of some amazing music.. that is if anyone here is still actually interested in music, you know, what this place was built upon, or did most of you forget that?

I think about Jibs on a regular basis.. almost every time I visit this place, which is at least 2x a night.

And Steve.. some people work 10 hours a day and don't have the time sadly enough to post a thought provoking post on a message board... talking about myself particularly not anyone else.

I agree with your post though... I spend my time in the Promo's section now, don't have time to read through the bickering, not really interested in it either. The Music is where it's at.

I wasn't around at the time around Jib's passing and I had to really think hard about posting this response, but from what I see and getting a background from K's explanation of Jibs I really do think what you guys have done to preserve of his legacy is amazing.

All I can say is to me death is more about celebrating the good times rather than the down falls so it's off to listening to Jib's mixes.

I am coming from a very similar situation as Illuminate, as i am only a fairly recent user. I have in my time here dropped by this forum and I can see MS lost not only a good member but a good friend and person.

No need to say sorry Steve.....it's a very sensitive subject for a lot of us. Trust me, I understand where you are coming from.....things on this site can be disappointing at times.....definitely not the way they were before jibby left us.

Unfortunately it will never be the same....too many new people who will never know how awesome, funny, and loving Steve was. We just need to hold him in our hearts and move on.

When ppl on here frustrate me, I simply ignore them the best I can.....oh and say my piece every now and then, lol.

Thanks for the mixes Steve! I never met Jibbs in person but he always made me laugh with his random posts and from what I´ve heard from other members that did know him in person is that he was a good friend and a great dj. One the side note, I think things have chilled out a lot here in the last couple of months (GYY at least) which makes this place that much more enjoyable.

I checked in the 2011 and 2010 anniversary posts for Steve and you didn't post in either of them! But I know you were still thinking of him ;) :)

Funnily enough - I introduced a friend of mine to 'that' Bert and Ernie image a few weeks back - and was able to recount some stories of Jibs by-the-by.

Four years is a long time. Still miss the chats with my friend.

I really miss our old Soulseek chats we would have late at night while I was in college. He would always record his DJ sets and send them to me when he wouldnt send them to anyone else... I would always be gracious to get them and would constantly be on his arse for new ones.

Was always planning on joining him at WMC but.. sadly that would never happen.

Steve had a NSFW comedy about him that nobody else has I have ever met. Him and beanzncheez would crack me up on a reg basis.
