Pink Floyd's P.U.L.S.E. that would be amazing.

or just a couple of years back in time to see esbjorn svensson trio... anywhere would be fine, but if I can choose, the place should be the Village Vanguard (I don't even know if they played there sometime, I suppose they did).

Re: If you had a time machine, what gig would you travel back in time to attend in pe

Limiting to 3 per genre.

EDM:

1. S&D Miami Delta Heavy Tour

This brought the whole new spectrum of the trends in which, EMD progressed from the clubs to the arenas. For the better or the worse, the sounds, production and the visual amazement of VJ with contrast tot he music. Simply put; fans still think this is the best S&D sets out there. It would have been an amazing night.

2. Derrick May/Kevin Saunderson/Juan Atkins - The Music Institute Club Night.

Derrick and the boys pumping from 8 till 9 the next day. How a club night should be. With an infusion of acid/tech house. You could not simply have asked for anything more.

 3. Hernan Cattaneo - The Renaissance Masters Tour at Womb Tokyo, Japan.

I was lucky enough to be at this event and found a great photo Tom[SUP]2[/SUP] uploaded (and nope still can't find myself). The system that this venue holds still rings bells in my ears. Fantastic night.

Others: (they explain for themselves)

1. Led Zeppelin - Earls Court Concerts 1975

2. The Clash/The Who - Shea Stadium, NYC - 1982

3. Miles Davis - Cellar Door, Washington - 1970

a looooooooot of Doors things and continuous orgies in whatever concerts and places ..

. and some David Mancuso creator/DJ of the Loft parties

. .. inviting the luxuryHowells man to attend this

.. .::: while seeing donna on the dance floor

Oil on canvas by Penelope Grill

These people were all inspired by real Loft partiers. If you were ever there maybe you can find yourself or someone you remember.

The dancing woman at center in the red dress was inspired by Donna Summer after seeing her perform her hit song "Love to Love You, Baby" at the Loft on Prince Street. It was on the occasion of her introduction to the New York Club scene. She had just come over from Germany to help publicize her new hit record. She stood in the middle of the dance floor with a microphone singing along with a recorded instrumental sound track while a crowd of curious and attentive admirers encircled her and swayed to the music. She wore a closely fitted bright red dress with a flounce in the short skirt. She seemed a bit shy and readily admitted that she wasn't up on the latest dance moves. She asked her audience to show her what they do on the dance floor at the Loft. They did. "

I'd really love to see DJ Alfredo play, the original nights, before Oakenfold. Ron Hardy. Paradise Garage.

Shoom too, of course.

Re: If you had a time machine, what gig would you travel back in time to attend in pe

Parties I would like to go to again...

Proper Stuff - Carpet City around '92 I guess? Awesome night.

Sasha - Park Royal Film Studio with Tyrant sound system - Melodic Acid House at its finest with a sound system in a small venue that made your heart skip!!

Hyberbollic - Christmas Day in the old barn somewhere in Cambridgeshire I think? Some of the best beans ever and everyone well up for it.

Re: If you had a time machine, what gig would you travel back in time to attend in pe

Yes, of course. Hasn't SP been idealized a bit, though? Back then it was a shocking turning point and it kinda cleared the dancefloor, leading the way for the brief shoegazer season.
Probably Twilo's 4th for me. I'll always wonder . . .
Between that one and Diggerz in Jan of 2001 in Twilo when he played without Sasha and we had 10 hours of the most haunting darkness from Digweed's blackbox, it would be a tough call.

Re: If you had a time machine, what gig would you travel back in time to attend in pe

Words can't describe how dark John's 2001 Jan mix was. It ended so dark, we had to head back to a mate's place and put on some uplifting (borderline trance sets) to bring the mood up. It would have ruined the weekend otherwise.

Re: If you had a time machine, what gig would you travel back in time to attend in pe

Nowadays it's hard to image that the release of Los Angeles was perceived as shocking because of the dark beats and lack of melodies. Let's re-listen to the Kiss100's Twilo sets :).

Dude, that second one sounds even more appeal.ing Only because I don't even know what to expect, but at the very least can anticipate a legendary night.

re: Womb

if you asked me what legendary venue I always wanted to travel to, I would say Space, Ibiza. And if you asked me what my second choice would be, it would be Womb hands down. There's something absolutely magical about that place that makes the DJ's bring the top shelf mixing and tunes.
