When the series started Lawler said that the three installments will be representative of the sort of material he plays. Granted LO 2 was different to LO and LO3 will no doubt be different again to its predessors, but isn't that what we want from our DJ's - for them to play music they're really into and not to just replay stuff from years ago - afterall isn't progressive music all about that progression!

Personally i cant wait to hear LO 3 when its released later this year - regardless of what direction Lawler takes it, one thing i'm sure of it that it will be a well thought out journey of minding bending tunes done in the way only Lawler can do it!

Also his first artist album is out this year too. . . . :twisted:

For me Lights out 2 sounds like an poor Remix of the first Lights out. Same sounds (spanish woman voice) , same vibe. I hope Lawler make for the next Light out an sound evolution.

Lights out 2 has it's moments. A few highlights, and a few boring sections. LO3 would be interesting. Oh, and currently Digweed has a few electro tracks in his crate, and he pulled em out while on tour after Luke Fair opened for him. Made for a nice transition.

Definetly like the light out series. The first one was the best one. The 2nd instalment was alright but not as dark and dirty as the 1st one. But a dj has to change his stuff or he gets boring.

PD: if John is includding some elektro sounds in his last gigs, doesn?t mean that he just play this style, or he is an elektro dj. I think he plays what he thinks is better at this time, doesn?t matter if it is prog. trance or whatever. That?s what i like about him

well if LO3 is like he is playing at the moment it would be awesome. loads more vocals and still with the dirty dirty baselines. Just look at his recent remixes.

LO 2 imo is hot shite. tho I thought it could have been just a little darker. but as the years/times progress, so will the music.
