I'm going to his Involver promotion at the Virgin Megastore tomorrow, so I'm wondering what he'd probably play. Do you think he'd go for the type of stuff on his album or the type of stuff he's been spinning in clubs lately?

What can I expect from Sasha?
since its for his release of involver. id guess he'd play stuff from his album... depends on how long hes planning on staying i guess. if its long then id say more of a club vibe to it.... depends..

Well last time i saw him he played a few from Involver, i went to catch him at Plastic Fantastic but got there too late, was quite good apparently, i would deffo go along, i'm sure he won't dissappoint
Well he's playing for two hours, so I guess he'd have to play other tunes..

You can expect some vinyl.... wether you`ll get to hear it or have it lodged firmly in the side of your head is another matter. :?

The joke that never tires..
But didnt he go completely digital yet. I read somewhere he was only gonna use his laptop with Ableton? Guess he didnt start that yet?
Im looking forward to seeing him this Friday night. I saw good reviews from last weekend in NYC.

bluenialler: Are you going to incorporate this digital technology into your live sets? Are you finally taking a step away from vinyl? Yes, I’m actually going 100% digital in around 2 weeks time. Ditching vinyl and CDs and playing off my computer.
Looks like he should be all digital now
From his showing in Chicago last weekend, you could expect some wicked breakbeat, followed by a few skull crushing dance choons followed by checking your pulse to see you if are still alive.

Not just yet. He is however only spinning off of CD's. I guess the laptop and Ableton is gonna come at a later date.

skull crushing eh.
either way expect it to be great. heard the album and saw him twice last weekend and there was no disappointment other than the clubs closing down.
He'll never get to the stage that Richie Hawtin is with Alberton live and his unique sets, but it is interesting and good to see progressive DJ's trying to catch up with the techno wizards.
Richie Hawtin is in a league of his own. It doesnt matter if he's a techno dj and Sasha is a prog dj, Richie was always ahead of his time with everything. Crazy mofo but incredible
If he plays stuff off the new album along with what he's been playing live, you should have one hell of a good time. Saw him in NYC and had a blast.
Sasha is playing here in Hollywood July 3rd and then July 4th Danny Howell and Hernan is tearing it up at a smaller venue next door! Can't fucking wait!!!!!!!

to Two: Did Danny ruin your night???
I'm surprised! So far i've seen him perform 5 times, and everytime the roof went off!!!
Maybe a jetlag? 8)
You can probably expect trance from sasha within the next little. He 's quoted as "leaving his prog. roots". That's OK there are still other better prog DJ's out there now. But when he is on (doing prog) he is pretty wicked. :Bingo:

Danny is actually the DJ I looking forward to hearing the most!
All of you people who are/have been seeing Sasha lately need to steer his ass down Florida ways. Come to think of it...steer anyone down here. Its getting longer and longer in between shows down here.
Sasha Live
Will Sasha's Involver tour be more of a live performance show (I think I read he was only going on the road with CD mixers + live gear) OR his usual DJ sets?
I saw a DJ set in Amsterdam only but I heard about another gig where he did an extra performance though.
to dla: it is a set, not a spectacular show...
I can only judge A'dam, but there it was quite good! And I would say in line with the sounds on Involver, maybe a bit harder and more breaks...
