Re: ► . .:: headphones tips ::. .

You get better deals on-line.

But I like my sennheiser headphones:

Sennheiser HD 25 SP II Closed Headphone for DJ: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

And they have a large range:

Re: ► . .:: headphones tips ::. .

the easiest way to break headphones is to put them on the floor. i go through maybe 2-3 pairs a year so i just get the cheap $30 sonys.

Re: ► . .:: headphones tips ::. .

i second the sennheiser HD 25's. i have had mine for 5 years now and love them, they are even repairable with each piece being removable to change if something does go wrong. i have never had a problem well wort every penny

Re: ► . .:: headphones tips ::. .

AIAIAI are meant to be pretty durable too...saw a video a while back, you'd have to be completely retarded to break them...Troxler road tested them and they made it through unscathed apparently

Got the same ones...had them for about 5 years now...about $US90 in Japan....they were selling for about $AUD300 back then in Australia....2nd pair only because my knobhead friend broke the first pair....big fan...very likely I will get them again when in Japan, good value....

got sennheiser in ear headphones....well in the house somewhere...I hope...good quality but did swap first pair over due to some distortion

I saw some in ear headphones in Tokyo the other month for around $US300....for fucking in ear headphones that is ridiculous, fuck knows how much they would be anywhere else....

I use EarSonics SM3v2 with Shure Olive (great isolation.. perfect for sports) and also with the stock bi flanges. The earsonics are great for EDM.. very precise, and their sound stage makes you feel like you are right in the middle of the music :)

I have a pair of head direct RE0s, which I use with sony hybrid..

..also a pair of Sennheiser-HD-280 ..next I think I want to get some grados, maybe sr80i. And this.. but they are a bit pricey

Allen Heath Xone XD-53's, have had these for about 5 years. cant go wrong with AH I think.

They have a new pair, XD2-53, which has a nice detachable cable from the actual headphone.. pretty nice addition, especially for DJ's

Re: ► . .:: headphones tips ::. .

IEMs > headphones, and my hearing thanks me for it. My Shure SE110 just bit the bullet after 8+ hours a day for 5 years and they were my favourite. Very clear sound and don't feel them at all. Unfortunately the SE215s I replaced them with are muddy in comparison and don't feel as comfortable, but might need a bit of wear in until they are working at their best.

Re: ► . .:: headphones tips ::. .

I need a new pair of headphones. I had the Sony v700 and were amazing, now I'm looking for something similar with good quality with a clean sound no saturation. I have seen the Technics DJ1200 and I have seen some DJs with them, somebody have them??

I have some Phonon SMB-02 that I use at my desk. They are a bit pricey but worth every single penny

For when I'm on the go I have some Sure 315 but I've heard that the 215's are equally good and are a bit cheaper

I keep reading great reviews about the AIAIAI headphones... you can find them in mercadolibre - there a bit expensive but the quality is great. a friend of mine has them and they sound very good.

I have been looking for a replacement at work for my standard iphone earbuds... shure 215's look nice..

any other earbud brand or preferences out there? :)

#1702457Post 31 of 46

Re: ► . .:: headphones tips ::. .

dont buy earbuds from monster. I had the turbine pro golds...cost about 200 quid. Sounded great but the build quality was shockingly bad. My dad had some other monster buds with the same basic problem. I really think shure is the way to go with those...

^ how about non-noise-cancelling earbuds?

for ex, i want good sound but i want to be able to hear someone call my name etc.. at this point you will probably just recommend those crappy skull ones? lol

AIAIAI did a 30% discount when they hit 30k facebook users ... and a similar discount in August .. so keep an eye out.

Apparently the headbands have a habit of breaking, but AIAI have replaced the headphones for users.

Re: ► . .:: headphones tips ::. .

thanks simon for the heads up. thing is it's impossible to order online and receive it here in buenos aires. customs issues, and lots of etceteras. they have to be good, I saw Hernan using them, also nicholas jaar... for now I have the sony mdr v 700. I've had them for around 5 years... and they still sound great, but I take good care of my stuff

#1702504Post 36 of 46

Re: ► . .:: headphones tips ::. .

Hernan uses very often the one I want. he used it for years, I guess they have to be good.
