talk about rose tinted glasses. look i know its the cool thing to make fun of SHM, but to imply that everyone had mad skills before the computer took over is ridiculous.

Look i know it's the cool thing to make exceptions for SHM, but to imply that everyone has mad skills after vinyl died is ridiculous.
Re: Before/After
^Agree. Just an annoying cliché. Finding the tracks, building the sets, painstakingly turning a bunch of songs into a journey or a statement, with the help of dedicated software, ok, but that helped shaping the true masterpieces.
Art aside, pro djing is 90% social skills and self-promotion, I wonder if you know the number of famous or almost djs and producers who still have to cling to their daily jobs.
Craig is a sort of Mozart-like genius, a whole artistic movement was behind him. The Maffia boys are real djs, everybody used to like them in the early 00s, then they sold out when commercial house became trendy at the expense of real house, techno, minimal, etc. Those two are separated genres nowadays, sad but fact.
