Re: Digweed @ Beta

The club looks like a page from the 2000 era in New York. Yeah it's tight but the crowd looks really up for it and it sounds awesome.

Yeah, they took it a little overboard with the smoke, but it caught everybody off guard that's for sure. I just happened to break out my phone for I Feel Love and... bang... smoke machines :)

Great night. We sprung for the VIP treatment, which in reality was probably a better deal than all 5 of us paying at the door and then having a couple drinks each. I filmed those videos from our table, so we had a great homebase to come back to after cuttin' up on the dance floor. The staff at Beta went above and beyond for us as well, so we all felt it was money well spent.

Diggers came on around 11:30 and played till 2. I felt like he put a little more thought and effort into his set than he could have. He could have just come out and banged it in the vortex for 2.5 hours and everyone would have totally been up for it: me included. However he really seemed to put together a well thought out journey. There were times where I thought the vortex was coming, but then he'd bring it back down a bit before throwing out another banger. I didn't recognize one track except for Donna Summer, so it was a real treat to hear some dope tracks I've never heard before. Club closed at 2am, which sucked cause you could tell he'd of kept playing till sunrise. He stuck around and signed autographs and shook hands will everyone though. Truly nice guy and it was great to see him play again.

Man that night was so great! digweed completely rocked it the last hour or so. The smoke was a little old school but still awesome. I hadn't been so disoriented with smoke and music since i caught diggers rocking some club in San Fran in 2004. He's still got the stuff!

Re: Digweed @ Beta

It's not smoke, it's a kryo-canon ;) And after dancing for hours it is one hell of a treat :CandyPop:

The sound system is phenomenal, looking forward to Burridge and then Sasha there in June.

Re: Digweed @ Beta

Yeah that FUNKTION-ONE sound system is awesome. We could literally have a conversation right next to the speaker and hear each other clearly.

Digweed has been on a bloody role with his live shows these past few months ..... I'd hate to miss anything that he has lined up this year :(
