Re: Zabiela @ Exit Festival
^^ That pretty much sums up my opinion as well :) He's not really a kid anymore either. He will be here at the end of the week.
Re: Zabiela @ Exit Festival
Thanks for posting feather...
I <3 James :)
Re: Zabiela @ Exit Festival
Some harsh opinions here! Zabiela live has been more miss than hit for me, but watching/listening to that video you can't deny the tunage, the mixing, the energy, and his enthusiasm.
DD I think it's precisely he's no longer the kid Sasha discovered, that it's even more admirable he's keeping it up. I'd think he'd have burnt out from drugs or partying or touring by now!
Re: Zabiela @ Exit Festival
James's passion for his music/ DJing and his fans, all down right incredible. Shines through at his live gigs. Love listening to his interviews. Well thought out and intelligent.
He would make for an awesome mentor.
Re: Zabiela @ Exit Festival
On a side note... I feel bad for Nic Fancuilli... how the hell does one follow up after what James just threw down.....lol
Re: Zabiela @ Exit Festival
James is my fave dj bar none, he is the dj that got me into edm and one of only 3-4 that i religiously follow and download sets. I can see why he is a marmite dj, but as feather said, the energy and enthusiasm that he displays is amazing.

I don't anyone could say he isn't amazingly talented and a fabulous turntableist ? and I totally have enormous respect for that. But his music to me is quite harsh. Very masculine ! But it is just me

Re: Zabiela @ Exit Festival
I think he's fucking brilliant at what he does but it's not really for me. In the age of dj watching, crowds all facing the same direction and people spending their night videoing the guy putting records on he has become a big dog. And fair play to him as the guy has undeniable skillzzzzz The modern equivalent of Hendrix playing the guitar with his teeth. Watching it would be an enormous buzz but being at the back or at the bar wouldn't be quite the same
