Sometimes I leave the forum and do not remember where I have been exactly. Is there a function to mark the exact place ?

Re: A question ...

Outside of bookmarking a particular page, I'm not aware of any ability to do that

Re: A question ...

If you click Setting at the top right it will show you all of the posts you've replited to and clicking on the arrow will bring you to the first new post you haven't seen if thats what you mean.

A question ...

I am Sorry - i will try to explain. Some time ago, it happened to me on an other forum. I replied to a topic. A day later, I wanted continue reading. But in the meantime there were quite a lot of other entries and it cost me quite a while and effort to find the headline and the topic again. How do I get back to that position ? Do you have a tip? At least in principle ? Merci beaucoup.

Re: A question ...

I suppose you can Subscribe to the thread, and return to it with ease by using the Quick Links>Subscribed Threads.

But,I understand you wan to continue your reading from your last post, not the latest from other members. That's one for pickle to answer, Is there a way to quick-link via a post #?

For now you may have to bookmark the post number (found on the top right hand corner of the submitted post).

I find the middle scroll wheel pretty handy as well.

Enjoy your time.

Re: A question ...

What I do:

Subscribe to specific threads I want to follow Subscribe to sub-forums I visit regularly Click on Settings and use UserCP as my MS HQ where I'll see my subscribed threads and forums

I've noticed some other forum running SMF must use cookies to keep track of your last visit date/time. When you get an email notification to your subscribed thread, clicking on the link will bring you to the new post RELATIVE to your last visit.

I've never done email notifications on MS so I don't know of this is a standard feature with forum softwares.

Re: A question ...

Now I understand, it is not difficult. I think after the log-in, it is under "view active topics". ;-)
