Re:: Nick Warren Live @ DTD

as usual warren proves he's a poorly qualified dj. inverted programming to put it mildly, accidential sequence of tracks, modest mixing and so on so forth. moderated speed at the very beginning and then a lenghty proggy breaks? he never knows what he's going to play next. the only bright side is the fuckin' bloody dancefloor as well as my ears and mind killer tdr 'plique'

#381065Post 13 of 42

my lexicon was in this set somewhere i thought, good set tho, enjoyed it a lot, cheers for the heads up :)

He is a legend already!!!

#381145Post 15 of 42

many thanks for that link man, the only problem is that it takes too much time to download at least for me, but thanks anyway.

#381153Post 16 of 42

this set fucking sucks.

I can believe that people pay to go see him play, pay for him to play in their clubs and pay him to make compilations. This set is so fucking bad. It is not worth the 2 hrs that it took to download. After god knows how many years you think this asshole could mix let alone put a decent set together. My balls could play a better set. I listened up until the first trainwreck...skimmed and caught two more so who knows how many there actually are because I'm sure as fuck not listening to the whole thing to find out.

I am hearby boycotting Nick Warren from my eyes and ears.

:EvilFlic: :KillYou: :ShootMe:

Nice set :P n 10x for sharing

#381221Post 26 of 42

In my computer it takes 10 hours aprox. to download. Isn't it too much time?

WTF!!!! :x

#381235Post 27 of 42

The version I got goes dead (silent) after Killa...

#381244Post 28 of 42

Re:: Nick Warren Live @ DTD

Yeah, its a big set. With DSL, its not too much time to load. I'm enjoying the set. Haven't heard it all, but I know I like it better than alot of the 'trance' and 'techno' sets floating around out there by popular DJ's.

So I guess everyone has likes and dislikes of there on. Kind of explains how there can be so many different genres of music.

Maybe 'Palmer' likes a different style, but obviously there are plenty of us who like this more progressive style. In fact, I downloaded and listened to something last week that was in my opinion just TRASH. There were plenty of those who liked it. I made a comment on the thread about how could anyone really enjoy it, more of a question than a slam on the mix. It was funny, someone wrote back ... -- "its the kind of set you put on in the background and do the dishes to it. "

So, lets let those who like it ... enjoy it.

#381245Post 29 of 42

^^ sounds like my words about a marky star mix. to each his own. :NotMe:

#381246Post 30 of 42

Thanks for sharing!

I'm on a fast connection, so no problems with the size.

Too bad Warren still can't prove to me why he's famous and asked to do GU releases....

#381251Post 31 of 42

Thanks for this. i really love those long sets.

#381290Post 32 of 42

Its a great mix, but the actuall mixing is a bit....

...well crap in places :(

#381311Post 33 of 42

Re:: Nick Warren Live @ DTD

^ thats a nice way of saying it

#381344Post 34 of 42

yeah, what happened to warren, the set has mistakes all over it, he screwed up big time on this one. probably he wasn't using headphones ??? ....:?

#381350Post 35 of 42

i've heard a lot worse, i personally like this better then the TLV set. sometimes nick is off, but he still is the shit. Nick Warren has some off nights/mixes, but i have heard some really good ones, GU24, Way Out West live @ Soma, and others. i still think nick is one of the top dj/producers in the world. even when his mixing is off, his track selection is second only to Diggers.8)

#381359Post 36 of 42

Re:: Nick Warren Live @ DTD

i liked it anyway but becouse of the tracks he played not becouse of the way he played that.. so chaotic.. and mixing sucks..

#381360Post 37 of 42
its about 400mb of pure fucking shit.
:Bingo:

not to drag this out any further but I'm just trying to understand where you people are coming from. Aren't the mixing and programming a very large part of it? Seriously anyone could have gone to a local shop and picked up those tracks you've heard them all a million times or will hear them all a million times. A djs job is to present tracks in an interesting manner and play tracks to further your appreciation for different genres....... seamlessly. Correct me if I'm wrong.

#381384Post 39 of 42

i agree, so check out GU 24 and tell me this is what you mean.

interesting manner, different genres. mixed and programmed well. by our boy Nick Warren.

Latecomer but it's floating my boat right now.

And The Beloved - Sweet Harmony (Kosmas Epsilon & Zorz 'Northern People' Bootleg Mix) is an excellent cheeky bootleg.
