I've got a hotel question.

My wife and I will be in NYC on Jan 4 for the night on a layover. Can anyone recommend a good hotel to us? We not looking to spend a fortune but was hoping someone could give us some advice instead of just looking at star reviews on tripadvisor, expedia, orbitz, etc...

We'll pay for whatever, if it's worth it, but was hoping to get some adivce from those of you around in the area.

Our only thing is we'd like to stay in downtown NYC since neither of us has been there and we're flying into jfk.

club quarters. i think there are several locations. definitely won't be expensive compared to other options. i stayed at the wall street one once. i think there's one near central park.
