Re: fishing

I <3 fishing.

Trout mostly. Fly fishing.

Being outdoors away from the city for a weekend of fishing, beer, and friends...really can't beat that imo.

Re: fishing

I try to go fishing a lot during the summer here in Minnesota, mostly just for panfish, trout, or walleye. But sometimes I get to go fishing on Lake Superior which is really fun. Catching huge salmon and lake trout! Its killa!

you dirty hippie.

you are very correct sir. there is nothing wrong with going back in time, and doing what we would be doing without technology. there is not a more pure bliss.

Re: fishing

I like going fishing, but only salt water. Used to live on the beach and one of my housemates had a boat. Used to go out in the gulf every weekend and catch food for the weekend parties. Shark nuggets are tasty! Before that I lived in a different house on the beach, my housemate and neighbours there were all marine biologists and use to go on trips to the Keys and come back with fish for a week.. ahh, those were the days

A couple of pics of the place where I grew up. Bariloche, in the northwest of Patagonia, at the base of the Andes. Mountains, lakes, rivers, snow, sun, forests and desert: a flyfisher's paradise :D

I did mostly shore fishing and sometimes if I could catch a ride on a friend's boat a little throlling using flies as lure (it's a National Park so bait is illegal). Flyfishing is as good as it gets for me, standing in a river, nothing but the nature and the fight. Too bad I moved out and only go there on summers now.

And yes, the last two pictures are from summer time :)
