What in the world does it take to get tickets these days to concerts. The added fall tour dates sold out in minutes again. In a way I guess I'm glad cause they are horrifically priced. I also see NIN is completely sold out.

Did anyone score these tickets

I saw them from 1987 to 1997... I think over 15 times. Now I can't be bothered.

Re: U2 tickets wtf!!!!!!

U2 is STILL amazing!!! no one comes close....end of story.

25 years and still going strong. great albums, amazing tours.

how many bands you know still put out great albums 25 years into their careers.

they don't go on any 'greatest hit's' tour either. 80% of the new album will be played....just like last tour.

Re: U2 tickets wtf!!!!!!

U2, back in the day in new york city:

radio city music hall - december 3, 1984. palladium - may 11, 1983.

they were unbelievable in their early days. the 80's are a bit foggy for me, but those were some memorable shows. great live group.

no interest in seeing them live now. give me something new...

"end of story" In your mind! They're a sad reminder of what happens when poeple don't leave when they should. You can't honestly say that the stuff they put out now compares to what they made before. Vertigo BLOWS!!!!!!

I bet if Pink Floyd regathered and played, they would bitchslap U2 all across the map.

Re: U2 tickets wtf!!!!!!

funny - there is a rumour that Floyd is getting together with Waters for a $100 million "We are greedy and need more Ferrari f-50's in our garages" tour. Probably not true as it was a while ago.

I do agree that U2 was better in the good old days but then again what band wasn't? I lost the best bootleg of theirs - 1981 at the Paradise Theatre in Boston - unreal. But they are still good. Going to try for MSG on Monday - three shows go onsale. Wish me luck

I think you can get that at the Itunes store. It was a promo only record that was bootlegged. I agree that show was amazing!

The same thing happened all over Europe.

I?m a big fan, but the ammount of hysteria got me sick to the point of giving up on going.

I?ve seen them twice (Zoo TV Tour and POP Tour) and don?t wanna ruin the great memories.

I agree, Floyd would.. so sad that will most likely never happen. But that is just the way Pink Floyd should go out.. with every one wanting more.

Re: U2 tickets wtf!!!!!!

The difficulty of getting tickets to many shows sucks! For the U2 tickets, the best bet would have been to join U2.com to get pre-sale tickets. The first leg was a mess, but the latest NA tour seems to be in better shape.

Either way, the process is such a pain.

 Heh heh, spot the Irish person...

Should be a good show but I wouldn't be bothered now tbh.

Their Fan Club SUCK now. back in 80's when you were a member of the fan club, the tickets that you got through them were in the first 10 rows of the floor, and in the center. All you had to do is mail back a request form that they gave you and tell them which cities and how many nights in each. Those were the days.

Re: U2 tickets wtf!!!!!!

Hypoluxxa, I agree about the old Propaganda thing, but I had no problems this morning buying floor tickets to a couple shows including a Madison Square Garden show. The first leg was a disaster for sure, though.

Good for you!!!!! You can't go wrong with floor tickets, even if I think that Paul has become a caricature of himself... Have fun Eric. I can't knock floor seats. :D

Re: U2 tickets wtf!!!!!!

U2 is pretty much the only major act that I would pay what you have to pay to see a major act these days. Not a huge fan of the music now as compared to Joshua Tree and some of the earlier stuff, but they still put on a hell of a good show. Alas, they are not coming to St. Louis this time around...
