Apparently Sasha missed his gig in Montreal's Millinium Club were he was supposed to play B2B with James Zabiela, anyone have further info. :evil:

His site states a tour date of 03.08.2005 in Montreal but no details of a missed gig. Definitely sucks when that happens.

I was there. I had gotten VIPs for the night cause we know the guys from Benson and Hedges who promoted the gig. Sasha called during the afternoon saying that he couldnt make it because his deadline for his albumwas coming up and he was running out of time.

The club is trash. Stupid people in a stupid part of the city. James played for less than 3 hours and i missed half of it cause i got there late. The rest of the night was a disaster. RIght when i left there was a huge fight that broke out and 40 cop cars arrived on the scene. I guess they were scared there was gonna be another shooting.

Crappy night overall

He doesnt choose the gig. Benson and Hedges who are the best promoters in Canada chose to have it at Millenium because that club/afterhours is the best seller of B&H products in Quebec. And im sure Sahsa has been to worst places than Millenium.

And people didnt riot because of Sasha not showing up, i heard the whole thing was because of a girl. Then it just escalated. You have to understand in that part of the city, all the biker gangs are in control, especially of that club. SO things tend to escalate fast

Wow, what an incredibly lame excuse for not showing up... Last time I saw Sasha, he stumbled in at 2:30... Guess that's better than a no-show though...

Agreed that's a weak excuse for Sasha not to show up. I couldn't imagine most rock bands using that excuse.
