One of Cocoon's several annual mix series, [I]Sound of the Season[/I] has always served a specific purpose: to bring together a slew of the records that defined the year for Sven Vath and his label mates. As a result, this year's compilation is heavy on 2011 anthems, including ubiquitous tracks like [url="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=439"]Todd Terje[/url]'s "Ragysh," [url="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=1293"]Steffi[/url]'s "Yours" and Âme's remix of "Envision" by [url="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=1156"]Osunlade[/url]. Vath includes a few gentler selections as well, kicking off the second disc (titled "Day") with the untitled A-Side from Workshop 13, [url="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=1077"]Move D[/url]'s latest cut of whimsical deep house. All in all, the Cocoon founder courses through more than two dozen tracks in roughly 160 minutes.

I´ll check it out for sure even thou this mixes can be a bit hit and miss. I personally love his 2th 3rd and 9th season mixes, 5th is okay. The rest you can pretty much forget.

yesss. CD 2 of number nine is a killer. Also the intro of cd 1 is massive.

I honestly prefer him live. Had some amazing nights with Sven in control. But I will definitely check this out.
