i wish i had the link, but i don't i got this off another site... March 07, 2005 From: THAILAND'S tourism boss wants to build the "Universal Studio of tsunamis" simulating how the deadly waves struck and killed hundreds of thousands of people and laying waste to coastlines across southern Asia.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand governor Juthamas Siriwan tested the limits of taste by suggesting the proposed tsunami museum could become a tourist attraction along the lines of a Hollywood theme park. Visits should be enjoyable and involve a virtual-reality experience of the monster waves hitting last December 26, she said.

"Maybe the next Universal Studio is in Khao Lak," Ms Siriwan said, referring to the devastated resort strip north of Phuket where thousands died, many of them foreign tourists.

definitely tasteless. we don't see rides where people pile into airplanes and collide into huge towers... and we shouldn't have this one

People talk about Tsunami, but what happend with Ruanda, and thosse countries, people die every day, and not one cares .soner or later someone will make a film of it,

well i think it can be good.....so you dont fuck with nature....and know something about it....how to proced (if you can of course....) if a tsunami arrives or something.....and yeah they have to make money somehow......
