today i decided to go get an ipod for my girl ( well technically it's mine ..muahahahahhaa), thinking that we are going to miami and we need music, plus im tired of making her cds. i decided on getting a mini, i opted for the 4 gb, which was the least expensive one 200 ... got the car adapter 35 bucks and left.. on my way home my shitty suv ovrheated (borderline, i had enough juice to take it to the chevy dealer)... i get there and the dude tells me its about 300 bones just to do the diagnostic.... i figured fuck it just do it, i cant drive away anyway... not sure how much its going to be but im sure i'll get ripped off.... when i got home i set the ipod up...whats the easiest way to do it?... i made playlist folder and because its only 4 gb i had to add one song at a time ..

got an ipod/ car overheated
well i most put mixes on my mini, i htink the best way to lissen to music on ipods is to make playlists as in plural. you can drop a bunch of song at one time in libary any then highlight selected songs and up them ino playist, sorry if this is not making any sence, im up late wrting a paper and have enough proofreading as it is...
blame it on your girl and make her pay for it. guilt trip 101 ;)
good idea
Yes,yes it is!!!(Good Idea!) :Naughty:
In iTunes, click 'File' -> 'Import File' or 'Import Folder'. From there just add all the tracks/mixes you want. Then I right-click on each one individually and adjust the id3 tags so that the artist and track information read correctly (if it's a mix, I put the location and date of the mix in the track title area). I make sure that all other fields are blank. Click 'OK' and you're golden. Highlight the files you want to add to your iPod and drag-and-drop them to the iPod. Voila!
Since you're only working with 4GB (which is what I have) there's really no use to worry about playlists, etc. (unless you're dealing with different types of music). But to each his own.
thanks ska!!
4GB for 200 bucks. THis is why I don't like iCraps. I i'm playing my Creative NOMAD which has 30GB of space retails at around 150-200. Of course I got mine for 100 ;)
ipod? its just the name that is selling. 4gb? LOL Thats not even enough for the kiss100 shows. you crazy
first its for my girl...second if you think about it realisticly, its going to be used in a car... 4gb is aprox 50 hours of music.. i could go to L.A. back and forth 10 times and not listen to all the files ...crazy no, practical yes
dude i'm thinking the same thing i'm sick of buying cd's.......its well worth it

A Ford Fairmont Station Wagon has more space, but I'd rather go with a 911 GT2; yes it has less space, but it's sleeker, easier to handle and given that I can afford it, I'm gonna buy it.
4gb? LOL Thats not even enough for the kiss100 shows. you crazy
Sure if you want to put every fucking Kiss show from the beginning on there, but realistically who wants that? I can fit about 52 Kiss sets on my iPod Mini. That's a half year of the 2 weekly mixes or an entire year of Digweed's mixes. Do I really need that much stuff on it? You'd run out of battery long before you could finish listening to all of them. So at some point you've got to recharge the thing, so why not do it while it's synced to my PC? You can delete sets from it and load up new ones all while it's getting a new life!
To be honest, it's to each his own. My iPod is the 4th different brand of mp3 player I've owned over the course of about 5 years (including Creative) and now I'll never own everything else. You enjoy yours and I'll enjoy mine and we'll live happily ever after.
well thats true, and i like more the desing on the ipod, is neatttt!!!!!!!!!! ......and what a about the circle damn orgasmic....... :Naughty:
the mini ipod for me is all about a cirulation of new music/mixes in and old less lissend to out rather then spending time scrolling though endless playlists (thats what my messy harddrive is for), i use my ipod for when im out of the house, riding my bike or at school. its great to drop a new mix in and hear it the first time and it catches your attention when you least expect it to like on the bus or in the libary.
i do the same deal with the ipod in the car. turns a shitty hour-long bumper to bumper commute  into something you can almost look forward to :) .
anyway i wanted to know about the car adapter. did you get the radio-wave based one that plays the ipod through your car radio or the one that's a like a tape adapter and you put it into your car's tape player.
itrips are the shizzle!
Now that I picked up an MP3 player (iRiver H10, good but overpriced), I find myself using it in unexpected places. Example: grocery shopping has suddenly become much more enjoyable.
