I thought I would have some fun with the people that don't pay and come here religiously to download sets. This joke would be even better if I could get a few regulars to go on and say what a great set it is. IF they say they can't get it tell them they will when they donate.. Kamal and Pickle I'm sure pay with time and money. Nothing in life is free. It isn't extortion. What I find funny is that people are more mad because I tricked some people into giving money when the banks are robbing us all!!! hahahahah..

This isn't bullshit. This was an experiment. And it was a success IMO. Worst case scenario people are out $10-$20. Great news though. MS will live another day because of it!!

As much as I enjoy coming to MS, it would be a shame it ended because of your tomfoolery. If anyone were to report it to any bureau that investigates internet fraud, I'd fathom a guess MS wouldn't exist for much long after. Especially since you've blatantly admitted it. Good job!

And don't call any of us fools. It's rude. No one's doubting the time, effort and cash that people put into it. We know it isn't free. Perhaps most people don't thank those behind the curtain enough (myself included) for continuing MS (so, admittedly, thanks to those who deserve it).

This stunt wasn't to encourage donation but to bring it up again. You see here we are talking about donations. That is a good thing. That will keep the site going looking into the future. I don't understand how this can be a bad thing. Obviously the people that donated have come here for many years downloading sets and enjoying the site. Now they can be happy to know they are officially a part of the family.

You guys are trying to make it sound like I was taking money from a charity for children with cancer....:roll:

Let me try to explain: People are against this because it feels deceptive. People ought to donate because they want to support MS, not because they feel they're getting a set. You can already see some confusion in the thread with people asking where their set is. And if some tightass kicks up a fuss, MS will have to refund them their donation which is a hassle. And worst case, MS could get into trouble over this. This is kinda equivalent to the email spams we get asking us to send money to Africa.

This experiment just goes to show that if you made people pay they would. They love the organization and how easy it is to track down a set. As well as the diversity of music on here.

I proved my point that [U]they will pay[/U] if we cut out P & R to whites. It's a fact now..

Also feather they don't have to refund it back because I am not an owner or administrator. I am a donor. There is nothing illegal or wrong about this. If someone went to the internet police (whoever the fuck they are) nothing would happen.

If someone wants their money back I suggest they get banned and the site turn into a pay site with a $20/year subscription. That is how we will keep the quality on here.

No matter how you try to justify it to yourself; you lied about what was being offered it and decided to hide behind the idea that you're benefiting the board by doing so, so that justifies in your mind being a liar and mislead the people into donating for a set that doesn't exist. It doesn't matter if you donated or not - that means fuck all.
