i don't know if this has been brought up yet...but i called microsoft the other day for tech support and they put me on hold and 'airdrawndagger' was playing

i wonder if sasha gets some money for something like that..

it was kind of weird hearing it on a phone

people tell me they hear out a lot in stores and shit...

guess its all commercial friendly

just thought id share my experience...later

i doubt if he gets money.. nothing can stop you from playing whatever "on hold" music you want to, even if you're a corporation.

someone in microsoft just has good taste

In England you have to have a license to play music in public places, that even extends to on hold music. I know, my company had to get one, i think it was ?70ish for the year.

that's why I called it revenge. They rob Sasha of $70 each year. I bet he cares.

Yeah probably. That is 70ish more punds or dollares he can get a yr. Like he needs it. I am sure sasha has enough money to make him happy. Come he got the greatest job even though poll topic say other wise. I am sure there are plenty of people on this board that would like to be in sasha's shoe right.

actually, Microsoft doesnt pay a thing to him. the company they use to operate the system would be the company paying BMI the mechanical royalties, then BMI gives whatever record label the CD came out on some money. then they would pay sasha a prorated royalty rate. all in all, about 10 cents for every 50 plays the song gets over a broadcast.

none of this applies to club play or play on places like proton and eccentric.
