Marcel Dettmann has a new mix CD due out in November called [I]Conducted[/I].

The commercial mix will be Dettmann's second after [I]Berghain 02[/I], which Chris Hobson called "near flawless" in his glowing RA review. Since then the Berlin-based DJ's profile has risen steadily as he's continued to pump out uncompromising techno on Ostgut Ton and his own label, MDR, while at the same time racking up more and more international DJ gigs. [I]Conducted[/I] will mark his debut on Music Man Records, a classic Belgian label whose catalogue stretches back to 1989 and includes artists like [URL="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=147"]Jeff Mills[/URL] and [URL="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=20"]Green Velvet[/URL]. According to Juno Plus, the release comes with extensive liner notes featuring interviews "conducted by Dettmann himself." The tracklist shows him staying true to form, with purist techno from all eras (including two from his friend [URL="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=609"]Shed[/URL]) and a dash or two of raw house from Analogue Cops and Reel By Real.

I am lucky enough to have seen Marcel 3 times now..he is a techno beast!!!! I agree with picklemonkey, I need this!

Looks v tasty ... thought Fengler's Berghain was the best of the lot though.

This is going to be wicked. Caught Marcel a while ago and boy does he deliver. Always thought his style and mixing is flawless but it's what he does to the delivery of techno, it's just out of this world. Will surely need to get many hands on this!
