I know I don't post on here as much as I use to, but it has been on busy year! As most of you know I am getting married in 2 weeks and I was wondering if I could get some help.

I am wanting to incorporate some dance music into my wedding (as it is a part of who I am) but I don't want to scare people away. What would people suggest for House Tracks I could give the DJ to play.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

There you go Karen maybe a bit cheesy but i reckon you're in danger of scaring people away otherwise ?

Ooh, I'm feeling nervous for you  Some Ricky Ryan maybe?? He's really melodic, groovy without being in your face. :) Most of my favourite tracks probably would scare them away. But I will listen out for you. :D

Edit, Just listening to RR's latest now, and he is playing some music that would be perfect.

Re: Need Help With A Few Songs...

Ya its a tough call, cause there are maybe a handful of people there that love the same music as me and the rest are either top 40 and older music. I want to find some upbeat fun stuff without going too cheesy :|

Jody Wisternoff plays that sort of music.

Ricky Ryan would be interesting, I'm thinking in Dana Bergquist & Andreas Hansson, house music mixing with interesting melodies or, mixed with disco music of our times.

Re: Need Help With A Few Songs...

Well firstly a big congratulations and the best of luck with your wedding!! I swear it's been wedding crazy here all around me. Everyone's getting married these days. As for the tunes, uhmmm....

These are just a few that just randomly popped into my head. But it depends weather there's a Dj playing or a band. If it's a DJ pretty sure he'd have a good clue.

^nice 1 pickle!

Actually this track played by Jody that I recorded at wmc 2010 would be great, I'm sure people here can help with finding the tracks... and honestly, this is is one of those tracks that you and your groom could dance to and people will probably end up joining you or not

Beats & Styles - Friend feat. Justin Taylor (Roberto Rodriguez Remix) - not sure if this is the correct remix or not.

Yes to feather, Jody and Way Out West could provide all the music easily. Jody's MS birthday mix for last year has some great stuff in it.

Would love to include some of Hernan's work but it doesn't really fit the brief :)

Diggers played it at fabric, but I'm sure it would rock the wedding :P

Maybe you could pick the tracks and get one of the dj's here to put together an edit of all the songs you like in a 10-15 min mix with the best parts ?
