Re: Sasha prepping Mixmad cd !
I do not know why, but I'm not too excited with this compilation. I hope to hear something good there.

Re: Sasha prepping Mixmad cd !
Its not out yet ... the shops still have the previous MJC issue on sale which went to the stores on the 20th, so the new copy must be at the back end of the week.

Re: No it shouldn't
^With such a tracklisting, are people actually eager to listen to the cd?
Re: No it shouldn't
I'm not eager at all, but I will listen it anyway.
Re: No it shouldn't
I'm eager. Heard from a source I trust that it's pretty good.
Re: Heard from a source
I'm not trolling now, if you take a dozen tracks everybody knows by heart now (ie: you're sick of it), how can your mix be better than the other 200.000 mixes done with the same tracks, the same cue points, etc.? Just askin'.
Re: Heard from a source
Can someone please post a link to the cd!

Re: Heard from a source
We don't have to agree on everything, plus I was playing devil's advocate since the forum seems dead.
Re: Heard from a source
Well... is it good or not?
:D
Re: Heard from a source
Are we there yet? I would buy it but 9 euros are an issue for me right now. But I will definitely buy it and do the EAC+flac thing.
Every time I see the thread title I think "head from a source".

i hear you, but i will keep this stuff as a reminder of some of the good sounds of this semester, all mixed up..
Most of the mixes i've heard with these tracks were good, but they are all on the recycle bin by now..
Nice compilation imo 8)

the forum, or all forums?
Re: Sasha mania - the first pinup dj
The Board.
Re: Sasha mania - the first pinup dj
Wow. I only saw the tracklist today and, like someone else is pointing out, any amateur who visits Resident Advisor once a week could´ve picked those tracks. I´ll still give it a listen, because this one of those good cases to check if the mixing makes the difference, because the track choice could´ve been made by other 50.000 DJ´s.
Throughout the years, I´ve gotten used to Sasha constantly introducing to new stuff and picking out those hidden gems that he made unmistakeably "his". This looks just lazy.

But only Sasha can do it the way he does it. Yeah it might be familiar songs, but the mixing and delivery of it is obviously going to be different. I didn't mind the mix as it was only a minor promo. If it was on a feature mix album, then yes it would have been classified lazy.
