dont know what your usage needs are, but i bought a pair at the pharmacy for something like $3 , made from some siliconplastic or whatever (not polyurethane)

they can go from dead-quiet-hearing-my-heart-beat (good when neighbours having an party and i want to sleep) to cutting-out-high-fqs-at-the-club depending on how far they are inserted

my 2 cents

if you really wanna save your hearing and still be able to hear all the frequencies. There are special made earplugs that I believe are made by belltone and cost around $300. But that's a small price to pay for saving a very important piece of your future.
