Dave Seaman GU016 Cape Town Disk One
Re: Dave Seaman GU016 Cape Town Disk One
Yeah I played it a few months back, I still love both disc's
Re: Dave Seaman GU016 Cape Town Disk One
Transition of Tracks 4 - 8 FTW
Re: Dave Seaman GU016 Cape Town Disk One
I'm listening to his last GU (Lithuania) now I can't say it does anything for me. Shame
Re: Dave Seaman GU016 Cape Town Disk One
I agree on Lithuania. But over the past year, Dave Seaman's mix CDs have all been quite good. I think, in general, the music that was coming out back in the Cape Town days was just better than most current music.
Re: Dave Seaman GU016 Cape Town Disk One
Cape Town is LUSH!!!!!

His last Renaissance CD was really good, it seems these days he does a good one then a bad one then a good one again. Hopfully his next Renaissance CD will be good
Re: Dave Seaman GU016 Cape Town Disk One
i always preferred GU 016 disk 2 !
Re: Dave Seaman GU016 Cape Town Disk One
Was banging this out the othe day coincidentally.
Both discs are brilliant and are in my top 3 GU's I would say.
I was 19 when this came out, just started uni, the weather was really nice for ages as well; good times!
Re: Dave Seaman GU016 Cape Town Disk One
Buenos Aries for me both disk are quality and chocked full of classic records.
Re: Dave Seaman GU016 Cape Town Disk One
Dude no freaking way last night around 2:30 or so I put disc one and only disc one and skipped through it...kenndys back remember hearing sashweed drop it at hard rock in 2001.That's really odd...and someone posted something about communicate 10 years old and the night before I had jammed it out. Haven't listened to older stuff in a while. Shit is amazing!!!

Yeah I love Buenos Aries too. But what really annoys me it the way they faded out that The Fade track out at the end of CD 1, its a brilliant track and they only play the beginning. They did the same with Greece 2000 on Oakenfold's New York as well

You sure chunky? I listened to it the other day and it seems to come to a natural end?
Agree on the Greece 2000 comment though, strange decision

Yeah absolutely positive the full version of The Fade fades out then fades back in again, its on Oakenfold's Creamfeilds Essential Mix from 1999. It was the first thing I noticed when I bought the BA CD.

Anyway, it's a brilliant release!
Re: Dave Seaman GU016 Cape Town Disk One
I pulled out GU 016 CD1 not long ago. Awesome CD. I really love tracks 9,10 and 12.
Re: Dave Seaman GU016 Cape Town Disk One
Cape Town was great in its day, one of my favourite GU's. Need to dig it out again and see how it sounds now.
