its been a week since i moved to my new place and for some reason ever since i moved my dogs wont stop farting!! they've never farted this much before...its one after another all day. they stink really bad..so bad that after they fart they smell their own butt wondering if that stink came out of them.. so is it nerves from being in a new place...i havent changed the food...

#369793Post 2 of 29

My bet is on nerves, they're not sure what's going on. I think there's something you can get from the pet food store to put in their food that will calm the methane emissions.

Re: my dogs wont stop farting

lol that's hilarious. yep i think it's the change in environment that's got their system slightly wacked out. it should go away soon.

probably what everyone else says, nerves is he still a puppy? sounds stupid, but iv noticed puppys have more gas than adults, try chaging his diet until hes adjusted, ask a profesional like a breeder, or call one of those pet shows on animal planet for a gas free diet :?:

#369822Post 8 of 29

one is 8 and the other is 7 .. :?

#369836Post 9 of 29

Dude, I know eggzactly what you mean, hahahahaha!! We've got this little rabbit-sized dog (or turbo-rat if you prefer), it's a Cairn Terrier. Man..you wouldn't believe how bad that little thing can stink, unbefuckinglieveable!! And when I start screaming and kicking with the smell hitting my nostrils she's always looking around like: "Whatcha lookin'at? It wasn't me!!"

Yea, fo' sure. Get the fuck back into you basket, stinker...

Think it's the nerves in this case, a pet store or maybe a vet should be able to recommend you someting. Just hope they get accustomed to their new environment quickly...

Water. Defo. If you moved to a new place the water supply is different almost for sure. And it really matters. But they will get used to it, don't worry! Sometimes when I go to races it's impossible to take enough water with me for whole 3 days, and it sometimes ends worse than just farting :? like going out every 2 hr. Even if the water quality is actually better, changing it affects the digestive system.

#369929Post 13 of 29

im still in the same city.. you think the water quality is different in different sides of the same town ?

#369931Post 14 of 29

if it's not a small village deep in the mountains, then I'm almost sure it's different. Actually all the plumbing, new water filters you're using now and so on can matter.

#369932Post 15 of 29

so i guess i have to let them settle in then *charly farts as i type :toilet:

#369949Post 16 of 29

Kill them.

#369955Post 17 of 29

It?s more likely that the farts will kill him sooner or later.

#369956Post 18 of 29

Harsh actions need to be taken in order to avoid this! Lend the poor man a hatchet!

#370009Post 19 of 29

Wy don't you just return the favor ?

#370026Post 20 of 29

I've been on alot of msg boards and sometimes I think I've read almost everything... but this topic... really

#370274Post 21 of 29

Hey- he's not alone. My dog too! I don't know what to do, but at least he's only doing it when he goes to sleep at night.

I think that changing his food would help somewhat; you won't be able to get rid of them, though.

After he eats, try keeping him out, or, in some other room. Or take him for a walk, so he can go.

Re: my dogs wont stop farting

:Bounce: lol this is the funniest thing I have read in ages. its got to be nerves dude but get it checked out Im sure there is something you could throw in his food to sort it

lol

Oh and Remoh: make sure to open a window once in a while eh? Those methane gasses could become hazardous to your health in high concentrations. That being high at first is funny, but you don't wanna go any further than that
BTW one dog is 110 pounds so he farts like a person
:ROFLMAO: Dude, that is a fucking hysterical image.

I was actually excited to get a dog so I could convincingly blame my own farts on someone else. Of course, with this came the realization that my little pooch could outdo me with one ass cheek tied behind its back -- and if you knew me, you would understand what a remarkable achievement that is. No reward is without its price, I suppose.

#370709Post 26 of 29

they're still going, but not as frequent ..hopefully gas season is coming to a close

#370961Post 27 of 29

man i thought my dog was the only one that let out rank farts. if there was ever a time for the use of a gas mask, it's when a dog farts in an enclosed area.

#373270Post 28 of 29

for all you concerned [ms]ers its been two fart free days at the homestead!!!!
