The Oakenfold mix on this is really good. I think it captured an Oakenfold set at Cream really well. The [url="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=4"]Nick Warren[/url] one; I think they gave him a load of tunes and told him to mix them.

The first ever was probably this cd my friend gave me... it just said "Beatz" on the cover... and the only track I remember was the one about "Robert Kirk's son dying of a drug overdose."

Also whatever Keoki album had the "Go Speed Racer Go" track on it...

I was so young and naive then: having not properly read the CD cover, I was disappointed that it didn't feature the whole tracks, unmixed. How things change... It seems GU really did a number on a lot of people getting them started on any electronic music. I have to say that GU did get me into dj mixes for sure, back when they were in their prime there wasn't any other series better.

Definitely, GU was an inspiration to many, myself included. years ago, there wasn´t another series of compiled better than that. Unfortunately in recent years, GU has lowered its level.
