just came back from a wake boarding weekend and had issues with music there coz most of my friends are so hooked on the shittiest music ever, everytime i tried to play some of the good good (howells 07 em, [url="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=1481"]ryan davis[/url], Omid) i heard comments like its too slow or too melow or we need something more bangy (how the heck could they not be affected by that 07 em intro?!!!), and then someone will recommend something like [url="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=1383"]roger sanchez[/url] and they'll be like oh yah now we talking put some on (and thats when i put my headfones and noise cancellation ON)..i got fukin sun burned just coz i listened to twilo mix on the beach and didnt move a muscle till it was done

i dont think its just my crew but i rarely meet people that share the same music, and when i do we automatically connect and understand each other well, not just on music but many concepts in life...im thankful for my music buddies and you seriously are special and i like how we are a minority...

what really makes me sad is that one of my old buddies that even brought me into this music and showed me gems like GU san fran and NE are also indulged in this crap stuff, so we cant go to shows together like we used to, and its mainly coz they like to go to the other parties coz it has more girls and its in nicer venues...i understand this tho hhaha the ratio of men to women in a Diggs nite wont quite be like swedish house talapia...but fuk that id rather go for the music, and lately thats what ive been doin, i love my friends tho but we have agreed to disagree on music...had to revive my buddy in miami with structures 1 cd 2....and he still couldnt resist hernan..

just wanted to share this thought and let yall know that its good to have a place to join us...peace

I dunno if this happens to any of you guys but ... I havent gone out to party with people that listen to top 40 songs probably 5 years now...

Some of them are form work, others highschool friends ,relatives , etc. I just cannot believe how they dig clusterfuck tracks like this and call it cool... basically a blended 5 course meal shake track

^bleh...yeah that still sounds like the normal complaint that goes around with most people who really are just half ass into music. most people like shit they hear from someone else on the radio that tells them what is good instead of finding other things they like. its easy and lets you talk about common interests with other people on the street so it makes sense.

I know this lady who's like in her early 40's and works in lighting and is a casting director. SkrilleX is like her favorite. She claims to be old school too... it's hilarious. She travels to at least 5 festivals a year (electric daisy carnival esque).
