Allen & Heath Xone 92.

I own a Xone 464 but I want to get a 92. Here is an old picture that is also in another part of this forum:

djm-600 works fine for me. xone would be ideal, but i like the 600 enough.

#364718Post 11 of 37

I also depends on how much you want to spend.

I have some questions for the ones with Xones.

Why does the Xone:32 has the gain knobs on the back panel?
Does the Xone:64 has these knobs there too?
Don't you find that really anoying/uncomfortable?

#364722Post 12 of 37

the xone 62 is perfection.

gains on face, not the back. love it.

thats awesome thanks

Please tell me why would someone need a 464 mixer. Those things are huge.

I'd rather have a 62 too, as they have six channels that give you more room to do different things with. Like be able to use 2 tables, 2 cd players, and effects on the side.

Re: What is your favorite DJ mixer?

A Stanton SMX211 Dj mixer connected to an M-Audio FireWire Audiophile connected to a powerbook G4 running Traktor DJ Studio 2.5 is my setup of choice.

Re: What is your favorite DJ mixer?

XONE by far is the best mixer, but if you dont have a shit load of money to spend. I recommend the Red Sound Infader... 3 faders :!:

I have had it for about 3 or 4 years. Many things you can do with the reverse button and multiple faders..

check it out

If you were talking to me. I got a 464 because I wanted one. I think that the 62 is SHITE. The 92 is BEST!!!! WE don't "need" half the shit we own do we? Oh, and the fact I got the 464 for less than a grand Brand New helped. :D

#369291Post 26 of 37

WOW. you were able to get it for less than a grand??? How did you do that?

I haven't been able to mess with any A&H mixer so I was just going on size as that this is huge. I'd hate to have to move it around.

My 600 is good to me but i'd rather have a good 6 channel mixer. Maybe a rane, but it'd have to have the eq section to go with it. I hate mixers without the eq section.

#369302Post 27 of 37

To b honest, the 600 is prime. I love playing with any zone, but I've gotten my best mix on while using the 600. Much love Pioneer.

#369402Post 28 of 37

Hey, just fyi. I'm an Allen & Heath dealer. If some of you want to put together a group buy, I can work on some of the pricing for you. Maybe one of you head this off, start a thread or something. Just a thought...

EDIT - We also sell Rane, Numark and Pioneer.

#369472Post 29 of 37

That is very nice to know. My only thing is that I wanna play on one before I buy it. And there is a bunch of music shops around here but none of them have the 62 or the 92. Or even rane stuff. It never sells much so they don't stock it.

#369477Post 30 of 37

jeff, the Xone is by allen-heath and there are only about 5 shops in America that actually sell em. i know i got mine from joint in detroit. took forever to ship too. but the Xone 62 can rock your bedroom and fabric in the same night. a lot of clubs utilize the xone mixers. thier sonic capabilities are amazing. high quality aS well.

#369486Post 31 of 37

which model does digweed use?...is not like im buying one anytime soon...im happy with my dmj 600, and i only play in my bedroom

#369539Post 32 of 37

Re: What is your favorite DJ mixer?

I love my Xone:62. My roommate in college had one. I was so spoiled using his that I bought one. I recently DJed at a club in Charleston and they had one of those Behringer (sp?) mixers and it was awful. Go with the Allen and Heath, you won'r regret it.

I got on closeout... I love pioneer mixers... Jeffrey do yourself a favor play all your records through an Allen & Heath and you'll hear stuff that you didn't know was there before. No lie bro, that's what made me switch. I played at someones party and they had an Allen & Heath, I was intimidated by the size of the beast. Eversince then I'd swore I'd own one. I agree with you about the size! I would love to get 92 but I can't afford that yet. :D

#369879Post 34 of 37

hell man if i had what you had I wouldn't worry about owning anything else. That thing probably already has everything the 92 has. And if it doesn't...do you really need those two extra filters anyway. If you ever wanna sell that bad boy you let me know OK.

i'll see what I can do about finding someone around here that has one and I'll get them to let me spin with it for a while.

If I ever get rid of it, you'll have first dibs on it. :D
