shared let me see .. hmm .. over a 1000 vinyls in excess of 2100 sets . prob 1200 albums .. add another 900 unshared albums .. equates to over 320 gig . also add around 200 tapes and 400 vinyls that i can't be arsed digitalising .. but "hey" who's counting ..
took the wise decision to remove all mainstream from shared though

I always delete a lot, so ive no more than 80 gigs.
My cuestion is...How much music do u think a big dj have? Sasha, DIG., HC, J.Z etc, i can?t even imagine...

:pShit, I have 240 Gigs and over 2000 discs, what a waste of perfectly good money. I will explain to the kids why Daddy cannot send them to college when they are older!:twisted:

i have about 8 to 10 k records that i have been collection since around 96-97. most of my dance music is on record or MP3. other music such as rock and classic hip hop i have on CD. i have a dope collection of old school hip hop from 89 to 98(the year true hip hop died IMO) of about 100 to 150 albums. MP3's....of all sorts....i would have to say in excess of 90 gigs....
and this is why i live under a bridge....

i've got like 300 cd's with mp3, mostly live sets, and jazz albums, and 200 audio cd's. true collectors in here i see, respect!

About 400 vinyls, 300 cd's and a shed load of digweed kiss 100 sets on minidisc, in fact pretty much every kiss 100 set. Aso old pete tong shows on cassette, and older essential mixes on cassette as well
Just got a new pc so starting my collection of mp3's as well - got about 20 sets on here already.

145 gigs at least. I haven't even tackled ripping all my cd's(1000+) yet with EAC. I'm cringing at the thought of how long it's going to take me to rip, convert to FLAC and organize it. the good news is I'll be able to toss a lot of old stuff out or sell it to the cd store. I'm thinking I'll need at least 500gb more to store most of my stuff in FLAC.

Last time I checked a while back vinyls stood at over 9000 (including full discogs for many classic labels from the 90s). Been a collector since late 80s/early 90s. Not even going to begin to think how many sets / cdrs / mp3s I have.. mind boggling.

ummmmm. about 400 GB being shared across 2 drives, & cd's that have been burned & deleted from pc all over my apartment! & a ton of cassette tapes from the 80's - dance music & early hip-hop.

I have probably close to 1000 cds I've collected over the last 15 years (I've probably sold back another 300 or so). I've got around 500-600 records and about that many tracks on CDR. In terms of live sets etc. I have to archive them on CDR since my HD only holds 20GB; I have probably 400 or 500 CDs which each hold 700MB max....
and strangely enough i STILL get bored with what i own every few days!!!

I have only got about 20 GBs, and have a laptop I'm running out of memory and was wondering how much an external hard drive costs and if it can be hooked up easily to a laptop.

couple hundred gigs, maybe 1500 or so records but mostly older stuff and a hundred or so cd's.

most externals are just "plug and play" straight into a usb2 port.. u can get 320gig for ?140 or 80gig for ?80

I have one hard drive of 200 gb full of mp3 and 400 cd's full of mp3 and 52 dvd's full of mp3. Together is about 680 gb of music!

I have soo much it's not funny. about 3000 recors heaps of cd's and lots of mp3's. don't know what i am gonna do with my old vinyl though.

I have lots of cd's with sets on them, thats pretty much the only stuff I download. i usually burn 7 or 8 sets on a cdr, listen to the whole thing during my driving around and then stick it in a pile, and burn 7 or 8 new ones and keep this going over and over and over

yeah I dont know either. I dont count them. but I'll know if I have it or not... some, well, I'll have to research all my shit to make sure. But for the most part I'll know if I have it or had it.
