I dunno how many of you guys listened into the Underworld show on the 10th of this month... but it wasn't that bad... I really like their new tracks... Check them out and let me know what you think of them?

as far as i can recall, emerson didn't do much writing or production. he was their DJ for live shows--that's about it.

if you're referring to the "era" when they were a trio, then yes, i agree. but they have moved on, and their new stuff is still amazing i think.

^^^ Agreed... Emerson didn't contribute that much in my opinion too. I think Rick and Karl are doing really well right now without Darren, and they are gonna rock when they tour! Supposedly they have a new dj with them, but I've only hear that through word of mouth and not seen it documented anywhere.

Emerson was as much part of their live shows as any of them - much more than just their DJ - the time I saw them there wasn't any DJ.

As for how much he put into the production, it's debatable - but at the very least he was a big influence on their sound. Being about 15 years younger than the other two - and a DJ in his own right, he was absolutely essential in creating the "Underworld Sound" we know and love today! I haven't seen them live since he left (although I've heard they rock as much as they used to) but their last album left me hugely disapointed :(
