I used to own a Skyway TA & Street Beat back in the day the most I ever got was about 3 feet off the top of a Quarter Pipe. there was a great leap forward in BMX tricks at the end of the eighty's the stuff they do now is off the hook

One of my good friends was a badass bmx rider up until he was 15, he broke his neck during either a regular jump or backflip attempt... i sort of forget which of the two, although I think it was the latter. Anyway I got this video from his facebook, he's been a paraplegic since he was 15 and an awesome person.

damn. well i hit dirt jumps out here, and the skate parks regularly (well, not anymore lol)... cos' in june 2009 i tried a backflip, and i jerked my bars off the lip, and so i flew off my bike, mid air, and hit my head and shoulder on concrete. i had separated my shoulder fucking bad. it s a somewhat rare injury. it's not a dislocated shoulder, and i wish i would have done that or broke my clavicle, it would have healed better and had been far less painful. i'll take a picture of it later. it looks pretty fucking weird!
