The mysterious British producer known as SHACKLETON has been a protagonist in the revolution of the dubstep sound, opening new paths of innovative and experimental contaminations. His work fails to be easily labelled, as proved by his sound made of Afro percussions and wiggly hypnotic melodies, deep basslines and a conspicuous dub sensitivity on the boundaries with a Basic Channel matrix. It is no surprise that the dozen of EPs published so far by Skull Disco, the two compilations "Soundboy Punishments" and "Soundboy's Gravestone Gets Desecrated By Vandals", and the recent "Three EPs" released by Perlon, have been greatly supported by djs such as Kode 9, [url="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=137"]Radio Slave[/url], Mary Anne Hobbs, and [url="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=96"]Ricardo Villalobos[/url]. Shackleton recently signed the Dj Mix Fabric 55 for the renowned label of the homonymous club of London and a 12" (remixed by King Midas Sound) on Damon Albarn's Honest Jon's, already home of artists like Tony Allen and the Moritz Von Oswald Trio.
