THE RAINBOW VENUES ARE PROUD TO PRESENT : The 3rd instalment of our In house Events

Summer Street Festival Rainbow Nation Under a Groove

Generally the Rainbow Venues are used to promote events hosted by the citys best and most loyally supported brands. Only on 2 previous occasions have we chosen to gather the brands like some mystyical mustering of the musical clans at one time and in one place. NYE 2008 (...Let’s Face the Music and Dance...), and last years’ Summer Street Festival (Raise the Roof).

A year in preparation this years Summer Street Festival (Rainbow Nation Under a Groove) promises to be the best Birmingham based event for many a long year– this will be an ‘I was there’ occasion. It is not just about Birmingham’s leading musical scenesters bringing their dedicated and loyal followers to party as only they know how, or about some individually highly regarded artists – it is ALL about the combined effect of similarly conscious individuals – united by sound – whether dubstep, grime, house, techno, indie, soul, funk, disco – whatever - coming together as one. You are the headliners.

You are the VIP’s. You are the Entertainment, the Vibe, the Reason and you ARE the Party. Nowhere else in the UK can combine different venues and different sounds to such effect for one event in the middle of a city. Nowhere else in the UK enjoys the support of thousands of like minded souls in quite the same way as The Rainbow is privileged to.

With world cup fever reaching it’s climax in the Mother of all Rainbow Nations (South Africa) during July, our homage is entirely appropriate.
