no prog parties here since half a year ... what's going on? Nothing planned for 2005?

It's so f*cking boring here ... and it's too cold as well

Re: Belgium

This weekend: U4EA Essence 8th of January: Our very own Cyke playing at La Rocca. Somewhere in March: Y2.Q2.B2.C3 @ Negasonic, Aalst Josi and Kurt might be throwing a party somewhere in february or march @ Silo.

Those are a couple I can name out of my head. The parties aren't that big, but you don't need big parties with big names to have a blast.

Re: Belgium

Isnt Pole Folder and CP from Belgium? Do they ever play locally?

#323486Post 4 of 32

Basically no. It's actually pretty sad coz they're both decent djs. There just isn't a market for prog in Belgium. It's mainly about techno and it's variants.

#323509Post 5 of 32

i went with CP to club escpae last week, were he had to play

pole folder just got back from hungaria

Trog, our party will propably be at Musicafe, and kurt will be on the dj list also, but i'm throwing the party with a couple of friends

And about the prog parties, there were some prog parties at Silo with Nascent Recordings, but because there weren't enough people to participate, the parties won't continue, unfortunately SO next time all come to the prog parties ;)

#328513Post 10 of 32

If I'm not mistaken, Cyke actually doesn't like Danny Howells.

Re: Belgium

I think the problem in Belgium basically is that most of the party crowd just doesn't know the big international names. Hell they dont even know the national names most of the times.

#346131Post 17 of 32

.....hmmmm....

So Belgium it is!

alright so I read how boring belgium is and I know that Howells will be there on Friday, but I'm most likely not going to be able to make it. Is there anything else going on, preferably in or around brussels, between this Thursday the 17th and Monday the 21st? Something clubby or even loungy? I'll be there for a short holiday for my wife's 30th b-day and we'd like to at least hit something.

Thanks

Re: Belgium

Quite some time ago I attended a prog party. Iin general: a good night, although I expected some other stuff from Holmes (I like his dreamy breaks, something I missed last night). Kurt confirmed as always with his mind blowing tracks. After Kurt's set, I left cause I was too tired after a whole week working, so I missed Lisle. Afterwards, I heard I didn't miss anything cause his set must have not been that great.

Anyway, happy I was there

Re: Belgium

Woooot! Mark Holmes&Kurt nailed musicaf? all night long they played totally my kind of prog. Floating, deep, dark, chugging and pure headfucks!

Jon Lisle started off good with that tribal tune with wicked&freaky vocals but after that we only got boring minimal no offence to the fans of that style but it's never going to be my favourite musicstyle :? :|

But still thx Mark Holmes&Kurt for making this night a bom!! :RightOn: :Afro: up to the next one!
