After our [B]legendary[/B] Nuestra Casa Boat Party [URL="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jgqIwlZE-GA"]last year[/URL], we thought it would be down right rude not to take to the waves once again! So on [B]Saturday 16th June 2012[/B] we are back bigger and better with an extended [B]5 hour Thames voyage[/B] featuring a true pioneer of electronic music, [B][URL="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=25"]TOM MIDDLETON[/URL][/B]. Tom will be playing an extremely rare and specially extended [B]'Sound of the Cosmos'[/B] set which we think makes this party simply unmissable!
To the untrained eye Tom is just another DJ. Beard, box of records, bounces behind the decks. You've seen one, you've seen them all, right? Wrong. You see Tom isn't just a DJ. He's a [B]scientist[/B]; a meticulous technician with a thirst for all musical forms from breakbeat to baroque.
Researching each and every project with eagle eyed glee, Tom approaches every venture, from productions to DJ mixes, with the attention to detail that's usually reserved for the likes of architects, surgeons and engineers. His mix CDs such as [B]'The Sound Of The Cosmos'[/B], [B]'3D'[/B] and [B]'The Trip 2'[/B] show true precision and forethought with Tom spending hours of preparation studying the key of each track and how they relate to each other.
Many believe he was born with these razor sharp skills. [B]Classically trained[/B] in piano and cello Tom understood music's essential rudiments and theory long before he could grow those iconic whiskers on his chin. It's this adept understanding of the true technicalities of music – how it works, how arrangements compliment each other and how you can convey the strongest message – that's helped him carve a unique career that's spanned from his deep space delights with [URL="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=978"]Mark Pritchard[/URL] as [B]Global Communication[/B] and Jedi Knights to last year's breathtaking debut album [B]'Life Tracks'[/B], a homage to the ambient and soundtrack music. To this day he refuses to sample other people's music, preferring instead to create his [B]own sounds[/B] using virtual orchestra and band software he’s programmed himself.
He's flirted with chart success with the 2002 club smash [URL="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0OtBOZxo3M"]'Take Me With You'[/URL], hosted his own show on Kiss [URL="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=1509"]FM[/URL], been resident at Ibiza's most super of superclubs [B]Manumission[/B] and tutored the winning DJ Ryan Shaw in ITV's cult DJ challenge The Joy Of Decks. As a DJ he's performed in almost every corner of the globe to crowds as large as 150,000. With his trademark widescreen musical repertoire, he's spent years championing styles long before they were the norm, helping [B][URL="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=178"]Ulrich Schnauss[/URL][/B] develop his career and hosting [B][URL="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=1329"]Hot Chip[/URL][/B] and [B]Mylo's[/B] festival debut appearances.
More recently Tom's seen major airplay action with 'Remember The Love' – his homage to the roots of house music – Forge on Digweed's seminal [B]Bedrock[/B] imprint, Orange Light's 'A Few Good Days' and The Golden Girls' stone-cold classic '[URL="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=336"]Kinetic[/URL]'. Joining Tom on the decks will be our irrepressible [B]Nuestra Casa residents[/B] in the form of the disco-progressive, neo-house dynamic duo BroKen DJs, and the bouncy, tech-funk partnership of Oliver James & Cosmique. And to cap it all off we will be bringing a state of the art [B]Funktion-One[/B] soundsystem on to the boat to make sure the party really goes off with a bang.

After we arrive back on dry land, the party keeps on rolling until 5am at our traditional home of [B]Bar Vinyl[/B] in Camden Town. And to keep your feet moving well into the early hours, we have drafted in some of our favourite DJs from past Nuestra Casa parties who never fail to bring the best underground music to the dancefloor.
