London's leading vinyl specialist returns with their very own Christmas party at the recently revamped Basing House in Shoreditch.

Since opening in 2003, Phonica Records has bulit up a reputation as a hub for electronic musicians and fans – it’s a hive of excitement and activity for vinyl lovers who come from all over the UK & Europe. Former staff include Heidi, who now has her own show on Radio 1, Hector (Mobilee & 2020 Vision), Anthea (Cecille & Mojuba), Will Saul and James Priestley (Secretsundaze) – it’s like a who’s who of dance music!

We're very pleased to have Will Saul as our guest this Christmas. Willl is a busy man, to say the least. While producing his own material he manages to run two labels; Simple Records and AUS Music, one for more techno and house variations and the other for the hair-splitting bass genres that are melding the minds of tomorrow. In between the vast amount of music that surrounds him, Saul spins sets that are known for their uncanny atmosphere within deep grooves of classic bass, kicks and snares. This year Aus have given us tracks from Scuba, Midland, Cottam, Ramadanman & Appleblim (with its huge Carl Craig mix) and are one of the best labels of the year!

Young British producer BNJMN has recently released his debut album on the best techno label in the world at the moment, Amsterdam's Rush Hour. Pushing the envelope of experimentalism within electronica, the soundscapes of BNJMN’s debut album ’Plastic World’ are deep, intrinsically melodic and densely layered. Intelligently referencing the early 90’s whilst still sounding totally contemporary, the young artist deftly treads a hybrid ground between house, techno and dubstep.

Reviews of the album called his a ‘future sound’; ‘blindingly strong and cohesive’; ‘an entirely new kind of dance music experience’; ‘utterly now’. The sound created is vast both sonically and musically, creating a world of its own and possessing of a maturity that belies his 23 years. Luminaries Norman Nodge, Steffi, Surgeon and Deetron all offered support, amongst others. We are very pleased he will be joining us to play a live set, ending a year when he has become one of Phonica's biggest sellers.

All supported by Phonica regulars Simon Rigg, The Vangelis and Soho who should need no introduction...
