Recently I was an usher at a very good friend of mines wedding. They asked me to do a reading at the ceremony, so I chose this poem
He never leaves the seat up.

He never leaves the seat up Or wet towels upon the floor The toothpaste has the lid on And he always shuts the door!

She’s very clean and tidy Though she may sometimes delude Leave your things out at your peril In a second they’ll have moved!

He’s a very active person As are all his next of kin Where as she likes lazy days He’ll still drag her to the gym!

He romances her and dines her Home cooked dinners and the like He even knows her favourite food And spoils her day and night!

She’s thoughtful when he looks at her A smile upon his face Will he look that good in 50 years When his dentures aren’t in place?!

He says he loves her figure And her mental prowess too But when gravity takes her over Will she charm with her IQ?

She says she loves his kindness And his patience is a must And of course she thinks he’s handsome Which in her eyes is a plus!

They’re both not wholly perfect But who are we to judge He can be pig headed Where as she won’t even budget!

All that said and done They love the time they spent together And I hope as I’m sure you do That this fine day will last forever.

He’ll be more than just her husband He’ll also be her friend And she’ll be more than just his wife She’s be his soul mate ‘till the end

This poem for Bill and Becky A married couple now Is a token of the love they share And the though behind each vow
I'd really like to be able to give them this framed and with some nice back ground to it. As I'm not into designing I was hoping someone here could help me out. I don't want anything over the top, something quite plain will do. I would like it in A4 size and with what ever font you think looks best. If you could post it here so I can print it off I would be very grateful.

Thanks

Re: A favour

Looks cool digger, but I would get rid of that bird in the lower left corner. Kinda brings the compo out of ballance. Or maybe put the two collumns on the same height, dunno.
so he can choose!! :) maybe yours will be more well done or something......
I know, but I have too much work to do stuff so it can be 'chosen', I either need to deliver or I don't at all. Nothing personal, just being pragmatic here ;)

And there's no seat ;)

Re: A favour

Ya know what Pep my friend, as strange as that looks, I really like it. I just wonder what it would be like with a row of toilets? I dunno, you designers are the experts. I'm definitely into the big text down the left and where you have situated the poem itself.

I know you're busy but like I said, I'm in no rush do what you can.

Digger, thanks for the effort mate, I was originaly thinking along the lines of something romantic like yours but Yao has put other ideas into my head now.

#857336Post 21 of 47

Re: A favour

yeah no probs!!.....i mean..i dont even read the poet..so i did not extract the idea pretty well.....maybe yaos is the best :) ...... just helping here so yao get hurry on making it haha!!.....seems that works!!...yaos im gonna ask other stuff of illustrator in the other thread

Re: A favour

lol, no hard feelings mate and feel free to ask anything. I was actually working on it when I saw your version, so it was a bit too late to stop ;-).

MJ, I'll something done this weekend which I's consider final. I'll give your suggestion a try, though the choice for this image bangs the toilet in your face a bit more...which was the intention :D

Re: A favour

This week...am currently recoving from one hell of a week. Too little sleep, too much work and partying in the weekends. Christ I haven't had a decent night in the past 1,5 week or so, hehehe. 'twas fun though, now it's back to work!

Re: A favour

^^^I agree...like this one better as well :)

#870506Post 29 of 47

Re: A favour

just another two cents....but wouldn't it be better to have a picture of a toilette with an actual seat on it rather than a urinal? just saying...maybe it should be a picture of an overall bathroom...rather than a toilette...especially if you want them to dispaly it in their home.

#870508Post 30 of 47

Re: A favour

If i could find one...i'd have used it :D But I didn't find the pic I had in mind, so chose one I really liked.

#870535Post 31 of 47

Re: A favour

i like that last one yao.

#870913Post 32 of 47

Re: A favour

Yeah I'm liking that one two Yao, let me get it printed and see what it's like. I can't help thinking what it would look like with a Toilet though, it's a shame you couldn`t find one.

#870998Post 33 of 47

Re: A favour

What about just cropping out one of these.... or maybe check out actual online plumbing sites, or take a picture of your own toilet...
