I feel like it isn't very focused. No real concept or thought put into it. More or less just putting some elements together to make a "cool" looking site. The colors are nice and the ornamentation is dope.

However there is a disconnect between the elements (header, logo, background). The logotype looks very arbitrarily done, as does the header image. Like I have no idea what you are trying to tell me.

Put some thought into what this community is going to be and develop an image/style/set of ideas you wish to communicate. You'll find your work will improve a lot once you decide to start trying to actually communicate some ideas.
