I havent had much luck with Macros, closer than a certain distance, I've found the Rebel to struggle with AF

Really? That's not what I want to hear...lol!

I have been told to get the Nikon D70 instead. I haven't priced it yet, but I was told it is a little more user friendly then the Rebel, but seeing as it is a Nikon, I am thinking it may be out of my price range :what

My Macro troubles could well be my fault. As for the D70, you're right about the price range, its competing more with the 30D than the Digital Rebel

a buddy of mine had the d70 and loved it. He upgraded it to the d200

As for your macro's, are you using a tripod?

no not yet, it's not camera shake, but the camera actually getting an AF Lock to take the shot, it could be I'm closer than required :lol:

just make sure it is not a cactus you are shooting with the DM or you might get pricked :p
