I'm calling BS on that picture anyways. If it's night in America, it's daylight in asia. I find it hard to believe that there was a 24-hour period of perfectly cloudless, moonlit night for that picture to be created.

that pic looks a little bright...for a better looking version of that same picture, do a google image search for "world at night jpg"...it's on the 3rd page...the resolution is 2400 x 1200....I would have given you the website address but it said "404 File Not Found" but it shows up in the google image search...
