Re: dibec.com
i love the fonts, and the compostion. the grey and the beige you have used go together superbly. your (mental?) colour wheel is in overdrive it seems. the animation is subtle and a tasteful use of flash. excellent.
when can we touch?
Re: dibec.com
you can touch probably within a couple weeks.
thank you Hos. :D
Re: dibec.com
Looks good man. Very simple, I love it. I was a little weary of the concentric circles at first, having seen a lot of them, but what you've done with them in flash really looks great. I'm ready for a slew of new works.
Re: dibec.com
I was thinking about adding an illustration in the back. something simple and faint. I will see if I can pull it off. Thx P for the help. :D
Re: dibec.com

Re: dibec.com
Dom, I've been looking how to create a drawing like you did in Fireworks, but I'm kinda on the edge of swithing to PS now man...unbelieveable how hard it is to find out. I know FW can do it, but anything more complicated than changing colours n stuff is just tucked away too deep in de program. Assholes.
Even when using the technique on the page you showed me, it manages to fuck up. For instance...giving that form a uniform colour fill? I think not...either you see the pic in it, or you don't use it. Pixel colour replacing doesn't work...either FW has a bug or the option is just hidden too deep. :?
Every fucking time I think I have a solution, I can't do it. I cannot believe this shit and am getting mildly frustrated as you can see now..
Re: dibec.com
yao. step away from fireworks, never used it and never will. i use three programs, 3dmax, illustrator and photoshop and usually in that order. i am not sure if you know the difference between vector and rastor, but the vector world is a very nice world, as long as you leave your final in there. I use photoshop for color tweaking and pure image enhancement. i do not do anything else in photoshop.
pm if you have a direct idea you want done, and i will see if i can assist you. cheers bro.
Re: dibec.com
Uhmmm...just bought a book on fireworks @ amazon, lol...I don't think I'll actually step away from it, i'm too deep into it. This search has brought me a shitload of extra knowledge already, but I'm at least thinking of using PS next to it...no, I know I will.
I do have 3dmax...haven't installed it yet tho. Is it really hard, like, me having to pull out my old math books and stuff, or not that bad to master with a little effort? I'm really going for it now, and willing to invest in some good literature as well. I'm actually thinking of laying the foundations for 2dmax this summer, since I should have a lot of free time.
If you could help me out re-creating what you did with the digweed wallpaper, that would be a nice step forward...I'll do it in PS if that's what you used, and then see if I can recreate the same in FW. I know FW can do it, but maybe I need to know better what is done in PS before I know what I'm doing wrong...I will however also try out the tutorial you sent me in PS first.
Installed a small 3d extension today, too...hope it helps me create some nice simple 3d fx for now ;-)
Re: dibec.com
Surley let me know buddy. I will see if I can help you out. Just drop me the biggest jpeg you got, and I will see what I can do with it. I do not use fireworks, so I have no clue what it can or can not do.
