Re: sunset photos II

There was an amazing sunset here in Sydney a few days back, thought I'd try some settings on the phone camera.

Re: sunset photos II

Sunsets and sunrises. All from an iphone 4s and then posted to instagram (hence the grainy image quality).

Re: sunset photos II

Thanks Florida. I really enjoy taking pics like this. Will be nice when I finally upgrade my phone so I can get some better quality photos.

Re: sunset photos II

You should get a dslr, maybe a refurb'd T3i. Photography changed my life in many wonderful ways.

Re: sunset photos II

^dude - you should follow "clark little" (#clarklittle) on instagram for inspiration. If I lived closer to the beach I would be taking wave photos, etc. for sure.

btw - I finally got my first pro lens about a month ago, one I had been renting a lot. I couldn't figure out how I was going to spend another $1500 on a lens after having spent $2000 on a new camera, but I convinced an agent to buy it for me on the company dime in exchange for photos of their talent - a win win :). I digress, but it's a 35 mm L, and I'm in love with it.

Re: sunset photos II

I have a small collection of photos I took when I got my HTC One. I loved photographing skies outside my window.

Re: sunset photos II

I just found photos I had taken when I used to run a photography blog 6+ years back and I had got a kick for photography. Using a Canon G3 at the time, I had taken a collection of photos, here are few of my favs.

Re: sunset photos II

nice pics mate! such a fun hobby... I like how the New York City photo is kind of the opposite of the Washington Monument photo in terms of how the space is being filled in both :). I can't imagine my life without photography now, it's just a very normal part of my life. I feel extremely fortunate to have the gear I have and to have had it with me in Europe and the knowledge of how to use it. I could photograph in Rome forever. That place had so much texture to it, it was just stupid.

Re: sunset photos II

The NY one is one of my favs as well, I just opened the sunroof, stuck the camera out pointing it forward and took the photo, couldn't believe how well the composition turned out.
