in the past it seemed that once a console was jailbroken, the company began development on a new system. might we be seeing a new ps4 sooner rather than later?

I'm not sure...I remember reading a while back that the usual timeframe for a new gen of consoles has already passed, which has been the first time in a long time. I think the companies are relying more on user DLC and addons to extend current games past the point where they used to be done with, so I guess time will tell. If anything the wii was first broken, so looking to hear about what nintendo would do next would prob be a good indicator.

I believe "jailbreak" is a term exclusive to iOS.
